The Queens Head in Wiltshire

This was another wonderful visit to the Queens Head. It just gets better and better. Tonight, after a melt in the mouth confit of pork belly, I ate one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten - the treacle tart. I know treacle tart well, I have eaten many over my long life, but this was lighter, softer and richer than any before.My advice is to go to the Queen's Head and order anything you like. it will be extraordinary and life-affirming. It might - if you are lucky and you order the treacle tart - be life changing.

Despite the Pub being exceptionally busy with wedding guests and a birthday party on a Saturday lunchtime, we were warmly welcomed by an efficient and friendly staff member who made us feel welcome despite so many customers. We ate a superb lunch. Fish and chips and the Gnocci. Both completely delicious. Many thanks to a great team. We will be back.

Had the steak burger, one of the best Burgers I have ever had. Lovely pub, friendly helpful staff. Just what we needed after a 4.5 mile walk.

Great food in a beautiful country setting. Local ales and friendly staff all added to a great meal out.

What an amazing pub! We picked the Queens Head somewhat at random and it turned out to be a brilliant decision! The pub itself is very picturesque with decent beers and lovely staff. Warm and welcoming, a very cosy and relaxing atmosphere. The menu is small usually means good, fresh food and this was no exception. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and al very good value. Would (and will) go again.

Wow what a totally wonderful roast lunch my family had here. Nothing was too much trouble as we celebrated my son's birthday. The staff were fantastic and friendly and the food was delicious.Such great value I can not wait to return

I booked a meal for a birthday celebration here and we had a marvellous time. The food was incredible, and the staff friendly and accommodating. They even brought out a cake with candles we had with us singing happy birthday!

Popped in to round off a holiday in the Salisbury area. The pub was beautiful and had a nice hot wood burner, which made everything feel even more festive. The pub is stunning inside and out, the setting is beautiful and the staff were polite and friendly. To round it off I had quite possibly the best fish and chips I'd ever had in a pub. It was very well presented and the portion was just right.Well worth the detour!

We was slightly frustrated when we initially turned up as we had booked and was not told it was limited menu. However the service was lovely and the fish and chips were amazing. We had a lovely relaxed lunch. Highly recommended
