The Red Admiral in Wiltshire

As usual we had a lovely meal, we were down visiting my daughter,son in law, and grandson for the week and spending Easter with them and what made it special was it was our grandsons first non baby food meal out, sausage mash and carrots and he ate the lot, great staff and good service and thank you to everyone at the Red Admiral 😀

These dishes are food ordered at the Red Admiral in trowbridge on Wednesday 23 march ‘22. Mine was butternut squash and lentil lasagne and my sister had chicken salad.The pub were not overly busy but we waited for our meals long passed the accepted 20mins. When it finally came to the table, I had black burnt round the top of the dish and looking very bland. I tried to cut through my lasagne but found it impossible as the bottom of the dish, though not black, was hard, dried up and really unedible, as you can see from the photo!As for my sisters meal of chicken salad she had three chunks of chicken which was looking very dry and fiberous, the salad consisted of green leaves a couple rings of onion and no tomato, no other salad stuff were within the leaves of which there was so much it got boring to chew on. This is the last time I will frequent this place.Had I been paying for my meal instead of being treated, and I use the word treated very lovely, I would of complained there and then. My brother in law was also present and he had steak chips half a small tomato, I think his words were, well won’t be coming back here will we! We didn’t stop for pudding or coffee. I wonder why?The chips did look nice though!I did put one star but to be honest even that wasn’t deserved!

Made a trip for the new menu launch and was not disappointed! Only had a few starters but it was so good! Hot chicken Goujons, crispy nachos and the dirty fries were - delicious! Will be returning at the weekend for a main meal!

Came here for mother days during the day and was very busy the staff was working so hard! but staff was very welcoming. Ordered food and food arrived under 20 minutes due to it being busy. Food was amazing, very tasteful and hot! Had a wonderful Mother’s Day and we will be back for the new menu launch on Tuesday for sure!

Wonderful atmosphere from this local pub.Family friendly and dog 🐕 friendly.Great food especially the Pizzas and good value.Good combination of kids play area and other end of pub has pool table and large TV's to show the Football on.Staff always friendly and helpful.

Went back for a family meal, still very nice decor, very friendly staff, looks like the parking has improved loads, no restrictions. Food was delicious, and a great price. My only grumbles were the table was very sticky and one meal was very late in fact forgotten about, we had to remind them.

Fantastic staff, very helpful with all are tables needs. Drinks served within a few minutes of ordering them from the bar. Very clean and tidy also.

Food was excellent! Highly recommend this place! staff was very polite and welcoming! We will be back!

Great menu choices, easy to add or change food to personalise so making enjoyment even better. Clean tidy pub with great extras , TV screen, Pool table and a lovely friendly atmosphere.Staff are so helpful, friendly - great customer service and knowledgeable of all the menu. prompt service, good value gif money. Menu has great lighter options menu and great food choices.

Not been here for a couple of years after bad experience. Have to say this time it was very good. I believe it's changed hands in the last few years. 4 of us had different meals and we were all happy with what we had chosen. The price was good and the drinks also were priced ok. The staff were friendly and service was good.
