We stopped for lunch here the other day. The pub is stunning it's really beautiful. The food was perfect. The member of staff that served us was spot on. Really pleased we found this pub. Had a lovely lunch.

Exquisite meal. Really impressed with the quality. Was supposed to be a just a stopover to break the journey to Somerset. But this might just be the main event. That Halibut!! Will be back without doubt. Lovely staff too and surrounded by epic countryside

Gorgeous. Reasonable price for the portion size of food. Only thing it was lacking is James May's presents. Clean. Warm. Loved it. See you again soon

We had been looking to book here for a while so we were excited to finally to get a chance to experience it.When we got there the car park was already busy, a good sign, we made our way in and we were greeted straight away by a lovely chap with a very friendly attitude. Straight away you think to yourself what a great place. He introduced us to our waitress and see lead us through to the conservatory. It was nice and quiet and only one other table had guest on it. The menu was easy to navigate and plenty of choice. I went for the fish and the good lady had a Steak.Food arrived promptly and was excellently cooked, nice size portions and our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The nice Chap who greeted us also came in to see how we were enjoying things, he seemed to have a great overview of how everything was doing there that night. We will be going here again and again after such good service. We were going to take our dog but she was a little tired form a day at the groomers but next time we will as dogs are allowed in the restaurant.

We had a 90th birthday party amazing place. The staff are lovely, the food was excellent very good quality, and we don't care what it costs it's worth it. Thanks to everyone at The Royal Oak.

Nice warm clean village pub. Great beer good food. Had a sirloin steak which was very tasty, although a little tough. The bearnaise sauce was the best I have had! My partners cheese soufflé was perfect too. Will try to visit again or maybe book a stay.

Lovely pub, stopped for a quick drink on route home from a day out. Didn’t eat on this occasion but the restaurant looked really nice and will certainly visit again.

5 of us ate at The Royal Oak, including a child. We all had a different dish and everyone said the food was delicious. It was great value for money and the young lady that served us (so sorry I didn't get her name!) was very attentive, polite, friendly and professional. We haven't been there for years and will definitely go back. The artwork on the walls was fantastic too - all by Wiltshire College students - so much so that my husband is buying 1 of the paintings!

Both of us got food poisoning, we think it was the awful duck liver pate that we sent back. They said it would be taken off the bill but it wasn’t. The rhubarb dessert had absolutely no flavour. It was expensive for the quality.Really nice place and staff were very warm, fish and chips was very good, but the other dishes we had were really poor.

Took a scenic drive here for a birthday lunch. Received a warm welcome upon arrival and then tucked into three exquisite courses that were uniformly fresh, simple and delicious. Wine selection was top-notch too.The whole experience was worth the trip. We will definitely be back.
