This is a lovely country pub but is out in the sticks a bit. We had mixed reviews with our meals (the schnitzel was desperate for a sauce) and it is quite pricey. Staff were extremely polite and efficient.

Super location, very today premises, attentive staff and really good main and desert. Only gripe was no sour cream with chilli beef and tortillas. Fun Quiz night. Definately recommended

I took my mother to The Shears Inn today and she was delighted on what you had and a lovely touch of presenting my mother with flowers when we left. 💕Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a very high standard. Definitely fine dining.Highly recommended.Thank you Becks, Nigel, Dan & Girls.

Becky, Nigel, and the team at the Shears Inn are so lovely. You always get a warm welcome and they go above and beyond to make your dining experience special. We were due to have Christmas lunch the week leading up to the big day. Unfortunately my household came down with covid and we were sad to have to cancel. Becky was very kind and understanding of the situation. Even better is that she went the extra mile and made her Christmas pudding cheesecake for us on our recent visit and it was delicious even in January! This warm and friendly service, plus the fantastic food flavours, are why we go back time and time again ☺️

Excellent homemade food to great standard. Large menu, good variety. Nice to see desserts that are a little different. Fantastic service

Wow, wow, wow! What an experience. From the moment we entered The Shears Inn we were immediately greeted with smiles and warm greetings. The hospitality and service is truly first class.I ordered a salmon stir fry main and a soup to start. I was blown away with the flavours and presentation of both dishes. When I finished I couldn’t wait to come back again and try out the rest of the menu!Overall a superb experience from start to finish - 5 stars!

Spent a wonderful few hours at The Shears with 19 other friends yesterday and can't remember the last time I had such a great meal. The food was hot, very tasty and plenty of it. The service was quick and friendly. I shall definitely be going again.

Excellent reception on arrival by friendly hosts, tempting menu with interesting specials, not sure about combining scotch eggs with salmon but everything was very well cooked, with generous portions. The beef looked rare and delicious, so next time... My chicken pie with leeks(?) and assorted veg was a great choice. Altogether a good find.

such a great meal and evening. We came as a group of 10 including 3 children under 3! The staff were so friendly, helpful and patient. The food was excellent, freshly made and they were accommodating for bringing out the kid's food asap. I really recommend coming here.

This is definitely my favourite pub, and I was so glad to return a few nights ago. Beautiful pub, inside and out, and the food was simply amazing! As always, Nigel and Becks were very friendly and welcoming, and they made my visit very special. It was lovely to see the pub dogs too, George and Paddy the new puppy! I will be back again very soon! Love to all.
