The Smoking Dog in Wiltshire

Nice people, good service. Good for a beer, that's it. But I wouldn't recommend to eat here. Also the place is very run down and partly very dirty.

Stopped in the Smoking Dog Malmesbury to watch the Calcutta Cup.Enjoyed the ambience. The Prices sadly England lost, well done Scotland. The fish and chips I had were great, however my wife found the tagliatelle with roasted cauliflower, Broccoli and parmasan was not as expected.They deducted the whole cost of the plate from our bill... wonderful service, would return next time in area. Check it out. We'll worth the cost of a pint!

Lovely pub in a lovely historic town high street. Beer kept well. Old stone old wood and a welcome atmosphere. Fancy a cosy drink you should go.

A little pub located in the heart of Malmesbury, it's as picturesque and filled with character as the historic town itself. Walk in and you're greeted by walls of old, exposed gray stone, merry, mismatched wooden tables and chairs and a pretty little bar that has a hefty collection of beers and ciders on tap. Very Ye Olde English Pub without being kitschy or trying too hard. Does a very good Bangers and Mash and Ham, Eggs and Chips. Valeria, the bar manager is friendly and pleasant to chat to, and makes sure you're comfortable. Overall, a nice, cosy place to be in, especially when it's cold and windy outside (as it often is in England :)). Oh, and the loos are sparkling clean. Will be back for sure!

The Smoking Dog is a super friendly and cozy pub . The staff are really friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent. The meat and cheese platter was epic. The pub feels like a social hub for Malmesbury, you can really feel the community spirit when you’re here. Great place and will 100% be coming back here again.

I called to make a special birthday booking and the team there were incredibly accommodating. Really friendly and welcoming. They assisted me with everything and the food was delicious! Lovely atmosphere too. I can’t thank them enough for making a birthday very special. Will definitely be recommending, and be back with my own family soon!

Passing by, dog friendly. 1st choice of food off menu. Lovely atmosphere, cosy. Tasty, Good meal portion size. Delivered in good time. Good choice of beer. Hope to catch, the 'friendly' service, previous reviewers mention, on another visit.

Really lovely cosy pub, great food and friendly staff. Me and my partner stopped in for lunch when visiting Malmesbury and were served quickly. I had the venison burger and my partner had the pork burger, both were very yummy and I would definitely visit again if in the area!(Also nice to see that they were dog friendly 🐾)

My partner and I were passing by and we stopped by for lunch. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Even though it wasn’t busy due to the restrictions, the atmosphere was great. We had the corn fed chicken and roasted hake and they were both wonderfully cooked.
