topped off here hungry and tired and so impressed with the level of service and quality of the food. Asked for half a sweet cider and a pint while we looked atbht menu. Lady came back with a recommendation on the cider (rhubarb, try it, it's delicious!) and when we order food, brough extra plates when we said we were sharing the two dishes. Food was really good, would definitely eat there again if in the area.

Stumbled across this beautiful pub by complete accident and what a place it is! Great selection of ciders and ales (I had a raspberry ripple cider which was delicious) and a good looking food menu (we arrived before food had started so will be going back to try another day.)Staff were an absolute delight as well

We were staying in nearby Avebury and chose to have dinner here as it had a good choice of a vegetarian menu. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and its beautifully decorated and keeling in with the age and purpose of the building.I’d definitely return again! Thank you.

Beautiful place, great helpful friendly staff. A lovely garden with play equipment for children. And dog friendly too. The food is also lovely. Highly recommend.

Found this pub on the way home after a day of racing. What a fantastic end to the day. Great staff helpfully, friendly and knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble and even helped with suggesting food. There was a wide range, on the menu. Our meals were tasty and well presented. We each had a main course, and dessert and finished with hot drinks Its a shame..... we are not local as it was a brilliant experience

Great carvery. Very generous portions if you wanted to . No queuing as table by table went to get carvery, much better way of service. Doggy bag(box);available to take home if needed. Would definitely go again

We made an impromptu visit for lunch and were delighted with our visit. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. The service was on the slower side (was an hour before we were enjoying our starter) but the food was worth it and the main followed much quicker. Our table was by the front door so it was quite drafty on the cold day we visited but without a booking we were happy to have any table!Happily visit again when we are in the area.

Exquisite food and excellent service, whilst good prices and beautiful decor. Clean throughout and fast, friendly service. Best vegetarian burger ever eaten (!) And husband had hot piri piri chicken both very generously sized, well put together and seasoned meals. Kids portions are great too. Kids had cod and chips (the chunky chips are among the best we've ever had) and vegetarian bean chili with rice. Would come back in a heartbeat 💓
