Called in for lunch at this recently refurbished venue. Very clean and well presented, feels comfortable both inside and out. Service was excellent with an interesting and varied menu. The kitchen is viewable from the restaurant area, always a good sign. The Chef came and spoke with us after the meal, that's another tick in the box. They have a batista, trained for seven years and it showed when our coffee arrived including one decaff which was really excellent. Well done to all the staff, a most enjoyable experience that we will repeat if we revisit this part of the country. I would thoroughly recommend this venue πŸ‘Œ

We brought our group of 22 here yesterday. We learned this restaurant was recently under new owners. They were very accommodating to our inconvenient dietary allergies. The food was top quality, delicious, and provided in an exceptionally timely manner. The portions were quite large for lunch, however we all we quite ravenous and made sure to leave nothing behind. It exactly what we look for in a restaurant serving our folks who travel the world. We will be back with future groups.

First visit for a long time, locally owned. Only open Thursday to Sunday. She had crab I had mackerel just nice for a light lunch. Well kept London Pride. Fresh cooking, not the cheapest but well worth a visit. Recommended.

Excellent all round experience, from the way we were welcomed and seated to the attention we received throughout the meal. We ordered olives and flatbread to start us of and then we all ordered the lamb. The olives were so good, I meant to ask the brand as I could definitely do with having those in the cupboard at home. Flatbread was delicious and the perfect match to the olives. One point was that the bowl for the olive oil and balsamic was too deep, making it difficult to get any balsamic as it was too deep in the dish. The mains were perfect, I could not find fault as much as I tried. The lamb was perfect, tender pink and just enough. Yorkshire pud was the right size so as not to overwhelm the plate. The veg on the plate was a sensible, seasonal combination and this was supplemented with roasted cauliflower and a generous portion of roast potatoes. The roast potatoes were so good and with the gravy, made it very difficult to stop. This is our second visit and it will definitely be regulars even though it's an hours drive.

A very good community restaurant, pub and coffee shop. The food was home prepared and cooked fresh. It was a good choice on the menu and a decent sized portions, our meals were very tasty and enjoyable.A local craft brewery supplied the beer Broad Town Brewey, like the food very good beer, would like to try other beers brewed by BTB.The staff extremely friendly and welcoming, my wife and I certainly frequent this restaurant/pub again and bring friends.A good afternoon.

Loved this pub, really friendly local pub with excellent food. We had takeaway in the garden which was still excellent and had a Sunday roast which was great. Would love to return when they are open for full table service!
