This place is fantastic, the food is high quality pub food, staff are really friendly. Lovely garden and waitress service and good selection of beers. Oh and dog friendly.

Had a lovely lunch here in the middle of our walk. There was a great menu which had a selection of pub classics. There was a great selection of drinks including se good ciders. The food came really quickly and was hot and well cooked. The pub was clean and had a warm welcoming feel.

Been here several times recently + I can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are friendly + professional. Great menu + the food is excellent. Most importantly, the ale is well kept...lovely pint of 6X. Covid measures are in place which is reassuring. I wish the landlady + staff much success in these difficult times. Go on try it, it's a cracking wee pub.

Had a great overnight stay in our campervan, despite getting there a bit late on Sunday they fitted us in for a meal which was fantastic. One of the best we have had in a pub.

Tuesday lunch on a wet and windy day, the wife had a wonderful Chicken Supreme which I managed to finish very good indeed! I had a Chicken and Leek pie with Mash and greens. This pie was without doubt the best Chicken and Leek pie I have ever had wonderful filling no soggy bottom absolutely brilliant! We will be back soon! By the way the beer and wine was also excellent.

The staff are an absolute joy, nothing is too much trouble, as for the food, well that is fabulous. We had booked Christmas lunch but because of Covid caution we asked if they would do our 3 meals as a takeaway, no trouble at all and the food was delicious, they even included 3 Christmas crackers. The food was so good we ordered another takeaway, 2x Serloin steaks and 1x sausage and mash, fabulous again. The sausages were real sausages....you know what I mean, if you love Richmond, you won't know what I mean....the Serloin steaks were cooked as requested, real steaks, thick, tasty......Highly recommend, can't wait to visit again. We stayed at the campsite behind the 3 Magpies, what a fabulous site, and having the 3 Magpies 100 yards away, and on the doorstep of the canal and fabulous walks, well an absolute bonus....Please don't share this review, we are trying to keep this little Gem a secret 😁

Surprisingly busy for a night with storm Arwen. We were camping next door for the weekend.Booked in advance with our two dogs. We were made very welcome.I had a venison special, the other half had a 'small' portion of the sausage and mash. Plenty all round and I thought good value.Sorry the photos are incomplete but we both attacked before we thought of taking piccies 😕

After having such a lovely experience in the beer garden on Tuesday evening, we decided to take my family here for lunch today. We booked a table indoors as rain was forecast. As on Tuesday evening, the service was first rate, as was the food. I had the fish and chips and it was just delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was rather nice too. Plenty of toffee sauce and custard too. Will definitely return.
