Beautiful homely house, fabulous food and amazing hospitality from John and his staff. Thank you so much for a wonderful couple of days, we thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go back.

My stay a Newforge House was the highlight of my month long trip across the UK. The food was absolutely amazing. Three days of gourmet meals, all vegetarian per my request, were the best ever. The other guests were lovely and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back when I next visit the area.

Lovely stay at Newforge! the food was delicious, especially the steak and homemade bread, John and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the room was very comfortable! We'll definitely be coming back and would have no hesitation recommending it to anyone!

Beautiful stay. John, lou and staff treat guests like family. The wheaten, sourdough bread is soooooo good. All produce locally sourced eggs are from the families chickens. The breakfast is outstanding. Such a relaxing stay. Can't wait to return.

Beautiful country house. Friendly and professional staff. Food is delicious. All cooked to order with amazing home made desserts. When visiting this area of Nr Ireland,I wouldn't stay anywhere else.. Few hotels/guest houses can compare with the Newforge high standard of care and hospitality.

A most beautiful house. From the website, & word - of - mouth accounts, I reckoned Newforge House would be very good. As we wended our way up the lovely driveway, I felt certain this would be the case. Indeed, the reality proved to be even better. From the warmth of the welcome, to the excellent teas & coffees served in the Drawing Room with homemade shortcake, we felt we had arrived somewhere special. Each of the six bedrooms is decorated differently, all utterly charming. Ours had a wonderful view through shuttered old windows of the surrounding grounds, bed sumptuous, room spacious & bathroom just glorious - looking out over the well - kept courtyard buildings. At Dinner, we thoroughly enjoyed local produce, well - presented and excellently cooked. Breakfast was another demonstration of how good the kitchen is here. John is a very fine chef. Service too is faultless.

Amazing experience. If you want to relax and eat excellent food this place is for you.Starting with the house, a beautiful villa with a lovely garden, amazing rooms and shared areas with fire places. Rooms very big, very nicly furnished, perfectly clean. Huge bathroom.If you go there you must try the dinner! You will find local ingredients with an excellent quality, combined in an amazing way by John, the owner. Also the breakfast is superb!All the staff has always been very kind and with a keen eye to the details.

My husband and I stayed here last October and loved every minute of our stay. In fact, we liked it so much we stayed two extra nights. The ambiance of the hotel is warm, gracious and inviting. And the food is wonderful! Newforge House is one of our favorite places to visit in all of Ireland!
