Nice scones and good coffee. Cream and jam served with the scones. No butter with the scones but we just presumed that was the way it was meant to be served.

Stopped for ice cream first then looked around the shop. I regularly pass by. My experience of some staff has been disappointing today. I am a shopper who likes to support smaller rural business but I feel my custom was not appreciated. I bought some household items, was happy to spend some money there but I ,the customer was sent from one end of the shop to the other being told to pay separately for ice cream and the other items. I was charged 2.50 for one scoop of ice cream , 7.50 in total , that’s Parisienne prices.Some nice things there but honestly there’s no atmosphere, no warm friendly welcoming staff and don’t laugh too loud during your coffee.

My friend and I had a lovely time at Allen's of Caledon. We wore our masks, looked around the shop and had lunch. It was very enjoyable. I made use of the post office to lodge money in my bank account. There was a sale on some of the ladies clothes and of course a new batch of garments just in. There was also lots of other things such as furniture, lighting, pictures, kitchen ware and gifts. The menu for the coffee shop was lovely and affordable. Very nice range of food on offer, plus coffee, scones, sweet choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Toilet available. Shop is child and disabled friendly.
