Synge & Byrne in Newry and Mourne

Pancakes completely burnt. Sent them back and they came back looking the same if not worse. Picture is of the second plate that was supposedly fixed. Looks like they are covered in Nutella but that is just a plain pancake burnt to a crisp. Other egg dishes and drinks were okay but wouldn’t come back on this basis. Staff didn’t seem to care at all either.

Beautiful coffee. Also had a blueberry scone and caramel square. Delicious sweet treats

I would recommend the vegan wrap. It was so nice.

Lovely place reasonable prices and variety

Situated close to Newry Canal with indoor and outdoor eating as well as take away options. Excellent coffee and choice of traybakes and snacks. Good spot to relax and chat.

Unfriendly staff. Toilet had no working light. Tables cleared but not wiped down. Food was ok. Coffee was the worst we had on our whole trip. I read previous reviews and was looking forward to a visit. Luckily the trail and play park made up for it. Would avoid!

Nice place. A bit out of the way if you are not familiar with Newry. Staff helpful. Food good. Small portions for children. More on the vegetarian side of things but meat eaters welcome. Perhaps a few more different salads would be helpful.
