The Brass Monkey in Newry and Mourne

Really beautiful food and friendly staff , we were there on St Patrick's and it was very busy and everything was still run so well.

Cocktails were ok, lovely set up at the bar, the huge cherry blossom in the middle of the bar is a lovely aesthetic!

Very poor timing. Arrived at 7pm for a table booked , didn't get served to 8.15pm . Very disappointed. Although food good, service and communication poor

Read the reviews and decided to try The Brass monkey. Got there as the were opening and the staff were friendly and took us in although they were opening up. We got cappuccino whilst we waited for the kitchen to open. Ordered calamari, rib and wing combo and loaded burger. The calamari was not that good but the salad it was served on and the rib and wing combo was really tasty. The burger was good but the onion rings on the burger was a little too oily. Can see that the venue was a little dated and think in the night it will have more charm as it does have good decor but at mid day it shows it’s age. All in all not a bad experience.

Came here for a meal and few drinks on a Sunday evening a few weeks ago. It was nice food. Nice drinks.( Highly Recommend the Whiskey Sour ) Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Will be back for sure

This place has consistently outstanding food the last 10 years. Yes I'm sure the chefs have changed in that time but the grub remains delicious. Very nice non stodgy Sunday dinner , miles ahead of the canal court slop . Steak is unbelievable!

My Daughter an myself went into this place Sun 3rd oct for Sunday lunch.we got the pasta from the menu I have to say it was delicious an so was my daughter meal. Staff very friendly an working hard. Definitely will be coming back to this place. Would recommend the brass money for food.

Very friendly service. Nice menu options. Plenty of draft beer available. Ambiance was pleasant and appropriate for a warm setting for dinner. There's a separate dining area from the bar. There is on street parking available. Try the chunky fries. They are delicious.

Lovely cocktails and not expensive. There is a beautiful tree decoration inside and the bar has a very cool atmosphere. Great for a few drinks after work when there aren't a lot of people there.One night the barman even stayed late just because our group of friends stayed late.
