9th Kitchen in Birmingham

Nicely decorated and behind the counter staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the customer area was filled with delivery drivers shouting and complaining about having to deliver. This made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The wait for food wasn't very long but I think that was reflected in the taste. Hot and sour soup only tasted of vinegar and little else but the char sui chow mein didn't have any flavour at all. The noodles tasted like they were boiled and had nothing added, no soy sauce or msg or anything else that could add flavour. Very disappointing and I definitely wouldn't go back.

Everything I order with them, the food comes hot and very tasty, I've just ordered again.

Picked an order up for collection, food was missing, when I got home and realised with the take away I phoned up and the woman was very rude on the phone.

Not good.!! Was supposed to be curry but tasted more like sweet n sour and was watery. I had a special curry and it was definitely not.Hardly any meat, it was just mostly sauce, onions and mushrooms. The little amount of beef that was there was like leather, the chicken was ok, the pork was tough and not to forget the ‘two’ prawns.. 🙄 The fried rice was tasteless rubbish; stodgy and looked more like risotto; tbh I can cook better myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️For £9.60 it was a waste of time and money. Never again.!!

This is a very popular Chinese. We have been using this for many years. It can be very busy at times but it's worth the wait . They also deliver which is a bonus. There is ample parking on the front of the shop which is access by the one way service road with the entrance being in Sheldon heath Rd

Used this restaurant for a few years now. It has slowly been going down hill the last few months but decided to give it one last try. I wished I hadn’t bothered. No taste or flavour in the chicken and very greasy. Noodles were just like water and no flavour at all. Fried rice no seasoning and very bland and tasteless. Phoned to complain and fist got told they don’t speak English!! Very convenient. I won’t be using this place again as work hard for my money and would like to look forward to a decent meal and not a plate of tasteless mush😡

Still a poor takeaway even after years apart from 1st order... the bloke is so rude I have no idea how he makes a living. Food wrong again, for comedy value alone I suppose it made up for the terrible curry. Against my wishes we ordered from here and at least I was proved right about the 1st time I ordered years ago. Avoid like the plague there is so many chinise places around the area ... go to one of them

Absolutely disgusted that I had to place a star to make a comment , I was disgusted with the service !! Me and my partner waited over an hour for delivery , to receive cold food with frozen hard peas . My partner phoned the 9th kitchen to let them know……. To get a response of rudeness and an accusation of lying !! AWARD WINNING MY ARSE btw food as been thrown away , wouldn’t want to heat or eat it Thanks for 1 treat when we have worked dammed hard all week we really appreciate it !!

Although my Order tonight was early. It was missing a part of the order and multiple items were considerably undercooked.After speaking to the restaurant to try and resolve this they said the items were fully cooked and all delivered. Which is incorrect. I received attitude from the call handler at the restaurant, who persisted to speak in his native language and implied i had lied to him.I have recieved Good Customer service from Just Eat, in relation to the order who have refunded the cost of the missing item and are investigating the undercooked food.I have recieved recommendations from others that state the food has been good. Although from our experience i cannot agree. Very Unpleasant and unprofessional, with food not fit for human consumption. Not impressed. I will definitely not be ordering from this establishment again.

We enjoyed the takeaway very nice and tasty the young lady was very helpful and friendly and very polite
