Al Capone's Pizza in Birmingham

Having used this takeaway for the last 10 year's, it is amazing in its food and customer service and delivery. 5 star.

Ordered from Al Capones while staying over in Blackpool. Great food that always arrived very promptly and cooked to perfection. Also a big shout out to the delivery driver who called me before setting off and let me know exactly when he’d be there. Great service all around.

Cheap Donna meat, average pizza. Some thing you get when you've had a few beers and not arsed what you eat.

Pizzas are great, love the cheesy chips and burgers and the kebabs are great. Delivery is always fairly fast👍

Have ordered from here several times and it has always arrived piping hot and the quality of food is amazing!Tonight they went above and beyond when they noticed a discrepancy in my order and a special request I had made. They called me straight away and I realized I had ordered the wrong calzone. They made me the correct calzone and it was beautiful. Thankyou so much!If I could score higher than 5 I would!

I have been ordering from Al Capone''s since the shop opened, approximately twenty years now. I have not had cause to complain, until this evening. So, until today, I had no way of rating their customer service, in the event of a problem. Tonight, the Pizza arrived barely warm, distinctly stale and appeared to have been cooked, left to go cold, then warmed up. I attempted to contact the shop, but I was needed at my self-isolating parents, so it was three hours, during which time I phoned the premises nine times, without reply, before I could get to the shop in person. When I was eventually able, I drove to the shop. The owner spoke to me in an extremely condescending manner and was quite rude. He asked why it had taken me so long to contact him. I explained the situation and he said his phone was 'broke' He asked why I did not return the food, so he could inspect it. So, obviously, my word, after twenty years, was not sufficient. He then stated he was unwilling to make any gesture of good will and, basically, dismissed me. It seemed quite strange that I paid for delivery, then was expected to drive to the premises anyway, to prove I was not lying, re the condition of my food. I would advice anyone considering purchasing food from Al Capone's to think twice. If the food is not to your liking, you will be expected to take the meal to their premises, without delay, to be inspected by the staff, and even then, you will be treated with arrogance, disdain and a slight degree of intimidation. There are far better options locally, with exemplary customer service. Terrible food, terrible attitude, terrible experience. Will not be using again.

In line with what the other negative reviews have been based on, the service here is abysmal. I ordered a plain cheese pizza for my son, they sent a meat feast. Rang up, the owner answered and said he would sort it then went off the phone. He then rang me back and said no I ordered a plain cheese and tomato so he wasn’t sending me a meat feast. Eventually I managed to get across to him that I wanted the plain cheese one and that wasn’t what had been sent. Driver came back with a new pizza then insisted I send back the old one, fine I thought take it, I wouldn’t have eaten it but I could’ve given it to someone else, they were obviously going to bin it, but the suggestion being that I was lying about it. I don’t like the implication being made that I’m a liar, so I reckon I’ll give Riccardo’s a go. Their loss, as a repeat customer of three plus years, they will lose more from this than I will.

Would give 0 stars if possible! Food arrived over an hour late, not only this when it arrived it was colder then a body in a morgue. It also resembled the smell of a body in a morgue too, the kebab meat had a really weird smell which just was far from normal. Upon inspecting the chips there was a hair in between them which made me feel sick. Would never eat from this stinky place again, so many better takeaways around.

The food is fine, but the last few times we've ordered the delivery time has been ridiculous; tonight (Tuesday 24.10.17) we ordered online at 7.05pm, and the food was finally delivered at 8.55pm. I phoned at 8.25- at first they couldn't find my order, then after a bit of hurried conferring I was told that my food was out for delivery (I don't believe this as the food was really hot when it arrived) and would be there in twenty minutes- no apology, not even a free can of pop. It took another half an hour... Last time couple of times we've ordered it has taken well over an hour; again, it is usually a week night. Don't think we'll order from here again.
