Avenue Kebab House in Birmingham

I used to go to this place as a young person with my mates on a Friday and Saturday when it was owned by the original owner back in the late 80s. The red donner kebab in a pitta bread with salad and their special sauce was awesome. I had fond memories of this place. It was one of my favourite donner kebabs. I hadn't been here for around 20 odd years since it changed ownership. I went back yesterday to try the red donner in a pitta bread. Even though I finished it, it was not the same at all. Kebab was decent but not the same. I was disappointed. Tried to get my younger memories back but failed. Still a decent kebab but average. Apart from the meat being red it was no different to a standard kebab. Service was good and polite staff. Give it a whirl just for the red donner.

Original red donner place in Birmingham…Ask for large donner and fries, Mayo and salad… you won’t regret it, ..can get busy at times as everyone wants the spicy donner …Service can get slow but worth the wait..Reasonable prices

After reading all the reviews on justeat most of them being absolutely terrible I admit I was quite hesitant about ordering from here. But the few fantastic reviews plus the pictures on their instagram swayed me.Being a Donner fan I don't like to be disappointed with portion sizes so we ordered 3 Donner's on naan to be on the safe side! We ended up getting it collected rather than ordering from justeat as their delivery times started a bit later.The Doner was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad we ignored the bad reviews and went ahead and decided to try for ourselves. It was flavoursome a perfect portion size we are big eaters and were very satisfied with 1 portion each we've saved the 3rd for later!Really happy with the food! 5 stars from me!

My food didn't turn up I ordered from just eat. As a business it was your job to contact me if my food didn't get collected by the delivery guy once you closed. My food didn't leave your store and you didn't even call me to tell me despite having my number you shut the shop and went home while I waited. Never again not just eat and not you guys either

Great red Donner for when that craving hits, spicier than normal but less greasy also, polite customer dealing. Would recommend and will return.

This place won't give you a 5* dining experience in terms of decor, but sure make up for that for their great tasting food and excellent customer service. Theyre know for being first for serving red doner kebab (different spices used).
