This place does not even deserve the one star I had to give to air my views, firstly the food was very poor to the point of being inedible, also they are not open about their prices , BEWARE you even get charged for the dips and onion salad with your poppadoms, , the first time that has ever happened to meAlso double check your bill if you have the misfortune to find yourself eating here as they had made several mistakes on ours.What should have been a lovely evening with good friends was ruined due to this excuse for a curry house, wish we hadn't paid , obviously we didn't leave a tip but if they read their own reviews take this tip Close Down ASAP.I am adding to my original review due to a response from the restaurantFirstly, thank you for your swift response, it's only taken you 4 Years, which helps me understand how uninterested and unhelpful your staff were during my visit to your establishment. They obviously are guided by you in their approach to customer service.I should just like to wish any unfortunate souls who have the misfortune of patronising your restaurant in the future the best of luck with being provided with an edible meal.

Awful service and food was not edible!Edit: I am adding to this review in light of a response from Balti Cottage (see below) who claim that we did not bring our dissatisfaction to their attention during out visit.Firstly I question how they can remember, since it took them 4 years to reply!Unfortunately, I remember the occasion distinctly. We ordered a mushroom balti, which was greasy with oil floating on the top. We complained and asked for another one with less oil, but it came exactly the same. Then we also complained about the chicken tikka masala as it didn't taste nice. They said "that's just how it comes", and eventually swapped it for something else, which wasn't much better. They weren't in any way apologetic, and if anything became defensive and were reluctant to help.I don't usually like to complain, but in this instance the food and service quality were so appalling that I had to leave a negative review. I hope that Balti Cottage can now take this feedback on board, rather than dismissing it with a generic message that does not take responsibility for their poor service.

Passed by many times, surprised to find very good and quite unique flavours, recommended. Weird bloe led lighting though.

Great food and service with good prices

Can I just say I booked a reservation at the balti cottage in Coleshill having eaten there when we came out of the first lock down.After having several home deliveries over the last six months I decided to take a chance and book a table for my mother's 75th birthday (mom being a very fussy eater) the booking I made was for 16 people no just did they give use a room to ourselves the SERVICE THE Waiting staff was outstanding THANKYOU ALL JASON

I've been using this place for years and the quality of the food and the service has been consistent over that time. Good for takeaway and dining in.

I used to love this place but haven't used in a few years. We had takeaway, the naan bread and onion bhajis were dry and chewy, the curries were all very bland. 3 of 5 of us have upset stomachs this morning.Part of our order was missed off and when my sister phoned to check it they spoke very quickly and had no time for her, saying she hadn't been charged which was fair enough but they could have spoken nicely to her and apologised for missing it off when writing down the orderWont be using again
