Bashundora in Birmingham

Nice food. I had a paneer dish which was lovely. The biryani dish came in the shape of a heart and the amount was very generous. 😋 A quiet place set back off the main road which I liked. Great service too. Received a rose to take home with me. The extra touches make it for me. Would recommend if you love Indian cuisine.

Great Chicken Tikka Masalla but very quiet on last visit. Closed at 9.30 (Wednesday)

Used to eat in here regularly and it was good. Not sure what has happened but takeaways are poor and Sheek kebab starter must have been a week old. No decent restaurant would send that out.

Yeah great curry. staff very friendly. Just need to chill the beer a bit colder. Love the old car outside they use as a storeroom 🤣

Absolutely shocking experience at Bashundora this evening!!!! Where to begin??? We were asked for a drink order after it was explained how the groupon deal works. I asked if we could have more time to look at the menu before placing our order, however we were asked again in a matter of minutes!Poppadoms arrived, we ordered 2! We were given 2.5 (not sure if the waiter ate the other half on the way to the table!)When we asked to leave the dips that we had for the poppadoms, waiter was reluctant to leave them and took one of the four pots and said he’ll top it up, however all of the other pots were pretty much empty! No offer to refill these to go with our starter.As the starter was brought to us,we were asked to present our groupon voucher. I had difficulty finding this and rather than being told to find it after the meal, the waiter stood with his arms folded glaring at me waiting for me to find it as my starter went cold! Shocking to say the least!!!When our main was brought out, it was huge so half way through our meal, my friend and I just sat chatting (with a view to eat some more at our own pace!) The waiter came over on a couple of occasions to ask if we were finished! After the third time he asked, we asked for our food to be boxed up as there was a substantial amount left.As we both had drinks left, we sat chatting whilst finishing our drinks. The waiter came over on a couple of occasions and brought a wet towel for cleaning hands then the bill (we hadn’t even asked for it yet and there were only two other people in the whole restaurant.)They were definitely keen for us to leave. When we did decide to leave, just as we were putting our coats on, the waiter went and held the door open (in other words ‘Get out!’) No thank yous! Nothing! Incredibly rude!!!!Safe to say neither my friend or I will be returning to this restaurant and we will ensure that we spread the word to friends and family about how awful it was. Wouldn’t have been so bad if the food was to any standard but it wasn’t!

Nice food and good service, but as some have said before, they appear to prefer cash, the card machine had stopped working apparently...

Should have been a chicken Tikka masala?? Disgusting never again will I order! even my dog turned her nose up at it 😡 picture on right is what it should have been

The food is great although the menu is very dated. The restaurant is licensed and has a free car park. Prices seem to be reasonable. Unfortunately the service lets it down as is slow and indifferent.

We ordered take away for 5 people, the food was an hour late, cold and they had forgot one of the main dishes. Trying to get a refund was a painful experience- extremely slow. Will not order from this restaurant again.
