We went for the evening Dinner and Hidden Treasure tour and it was great. We loved the Heritage Week Special Menu (we had Groaty Pudding) and the atmosphere was lovely.I can’t wait for the museum to open again so I can eat here again.

I am a coach driver and had taken a group to Birmingham for an overnight stay. I found this cafe by chance after taking a look around the museum. The prices are very reasonable and the service was quite swift. I ordered a large cappuccino and a piece of coffee cake... The cake was very Nice... Nice and moist. Not overly sweet. The staff were very friendly and there is ample seating but be warned... It does get rather busy.

I love this place and stop by almost every time I'm in Brum. This time we had the Sunday lunch, very good and large portions. The tea for one comes in a massive pot!

Stale, poor quality afternoon tea. Lovely room but, I spent nearly £20 on some real rubbish. Sandwiches crusty around edges, I'm assuming they ran out of cakes so added another mini very stale scone. Food not matching the environment! Dissatisfied to say the least. Nice staff though.

This place is so beautiful and welcoming, and a great opportunity to feed your brain at the same time as your tummy. Nice selection of cakes, comfortable seating, friendly staff. As an independent coffee and tea room, it beats easily the large chains nearby. On occasions it also offers special dining events and late openings. Just check their website for that. Definitely one of my preferred places to go for a coffee in Birmingham.

Definitely worth a visit. The venue itself is lovely, as described an Edwardian tea room. With an impressive high glass ceiling and beautiful tiled floor; styled with various chairs and sofa's it's comfy and cosy to enjoy an afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was really tasty; variety of finger sandwiches, miniature scones with all the trims and mini cakes all served on what is can only describe as a refurbished drawer. A tad too quirky for me but each to their own. Then there was the tea... Loose leaf English breakfast tea... Was amazing and plentiful!! All together it was a lovely setting and scrummy food which we needed time to recover from. This place is great for a date, a catch up with friends and some personal time with tea and cake. Eat, be cultured and well fed.

Always a charming place to visit. Food is reasonably priced and lovely. Try their afternoon tea, and 2 for £20 Sunday roast.

·

Beautiful room with booths, tables, and couches available and a variety of passable food. Perfect with kids as there's a play area right next to it plus a kids' menu. Would prefer an actual plate for my food. ;)

Fabulous quality food. Don't make the mistake of thinking this is just a tea room. The handmade burger with blue cheese and smokey bacon is among the best in brum.Beautiful surroundings. They do serve a wonderful afternoon tea but there is also poached salmon, confit duck, full breakfast, fish & chips as well as beers and wine available. A much underrated restaurant in my opinion.

Very nice cream tea. Good location, good price and good service. Just what I needed after a light lunch.
