Experience ruined by abysmal service. Gave my order to another table as they were either of the same ethnicity or background rather than fulfilling my order. I watched my partner eating food as I waited for mine. Shame as the food we did have was good, lost my appetite after having to wait for my food and then nothing but a blame game on the chef when the owner/worker/waiter just watched and served their own friends. Racist as I’m not of South Indian decent.

Food was nice tasty BUT SERVICE WAS VRRY LOW, WE WAITED 1 HOUR TO GET 1 COFFEE AND MASALA DOSA. WEEKEND BUFFET IS NOT REALLY BUFFET THEY GIVE TO TABLE MY RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MORE STAFF/ FASTER SERVICE/ MORE TISSUES - SPOONS.

Curries and Biryanis are great. Real taste of India I would say.Overall this place is good. Just a few issues of regarding the hygiene and cash-only policy. Each time my friends and I went there, the bill was over £20 and not paying by card is a bit tedious. I hope they fix that.

Chennai dosa is an excellent restaurant which serves quality food at quite reasonable prices I would say! I have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed with their food! They always have consistency across all their food! We tried the paneer, lamb curry, paratha, Masala dosa and mango lassi. Excellent food! The only slight inconvenience would be that they do not accept card payment.

I was craving for good south Indian meals and unfortunately Birmingham has very very few choices. Chose Chennai dosa after a lot of contemplation. We were welcomed with cards not accepted sign and had to find an ATM nearby. After this first task, we then tried to figure out which thali to go for.I was craving lamb and went for the lamb thali which just gave me 7 small pieces of lamb in a poor tasting sauce. The rice wasn't south Indian, the appalam wasn't either..The only saving grace was the dessert that came along with the thali.Worst of all, it was £10 for this! Terrible value for money!

Firstly highly recommended. I’m food lover and eat medium to spicy food, here the food is less spicy but the taste is really good.I understand some are frustrated with the waiting time, I have been twice and there was not more than 20mins wait time. They have more crowd and less staff which makes the service delay and another thing only cash is accepted no cards. If these 2 can be changed it would be a great place.

We did a mistake getting in here, tasteless no salt and had to wait 40 min for 2 idli. Please go home and have week old bread than any dish here. Look at the paneer dosa served here and the vada not sure what batter they used for vada.

Being a foodie I always wanted to try a family dosa for a very long time and unfortunately it just didn't happen for years. What could be more satisfying in doing that on your birthday Eve.It was like my wet begin to order with mini idli then mushroom 65 then I can happen to see family top of the menu card and hence had to order itThe server was like it is available but wouldn't recommend as you both can't eat it as it's 5ft long but I was like hmm I have been preparing all my years for this so bring it on😜He recommended removing the other items and have this alone as he felt that we can't finish and would be wasting it but fortunately I manage to complete it.It was real tasty and definitely worth a try for 15.95£ as it came with sambar, white chutney, orange chutney and masala. All tasted really good. The only reason why am giving four star was for the service offered. No water unless requested for. No cup for water unless requested for.Service took a while to bring anything that we requested( understandable due to incoming crowd but definitely can be improved).I couldn't try any other items like bucket biriyani etc etc. Heard it's worth trying though. So until next time ✌️

We went at 2 on a weekday. Meals or biryani was not available. Kids special was filled with oily noodles. Kothu parotta was not as expected. Overall ll not recommend. The servers mentioned the weekend foods ll be good. May be for people who want to try...
