Chris's Fish Bar in Birmingham

I am fairly new to the area and Chris' Fish Bar is the best chippy I have found so far. Great variety on meal deals and the chips are always fresh and hot. Lovely!

I am disappointed how they had the nerve to pack this over done cheese and onion pasty.absolutely disgusted this was a joke! It was an online collection order when I got home to find a rock hard pasty when I took one bite. I could even tap it hard on the table and it never broke together with lesser chips than usual. Please don't risk ordering online as you get treated like this when you're not seeing what you're getting.Chris I know you read this I want an explanation!!

Owners daughter is rude and seems to look down her nose at people just like her dad not sure what their problem is. Food was mediocre at best and certainly isn’t up to standard for the attitude problem they’ve got going on in the shop. Many customers have said it if you look on their trip advisor reviews. Id suggest going elsewhere where people actually treat you decently because here IS NOT IT.

I’m absolutely appalled by the attitude of all staff who work here, I have travelled around 10 miles to try this chip shop as I seen on a post it was voted one of the best in Birmingham, this does not seem to be true and they must of back handed the judges who voted them the best.The quality of food, presentation and customer service in my view was below any standard required.Don’t bother wasting your time and money, go elsewhere.The government have lifted all restrictions set out in plan B meaning it is not a legal requirement to wear and face covering in that setting when we came in there was 5 members of staff behind the counter all from different households you chose to instigate a confrontation to us 3 which are all from the same household given if the restrictions by government were still in place which they wasn’t.You all need to undertake customer service training because all of your actions was very unprofessional.

Visited here this evening and was met with very abusive, confrontational staff, there was 5 staff congregating behind the counter however we was abruptly told to leave as only 2 customers was allowed in at a time due to covid yet none of the staff was social distancing or wearing a mask. I simply asked a question and was hurled abuse. After seeing inside the shop it is not somewhere I would eat as it is well below my standards. Other reviews on here confirm the staffs attitude but thought I would give it a try. How wrong was I 🤣

Came in yesterday and was appalled at the greeting from the staff they were all rude, they refused entry into the shop claiming they were keeping customers safe despite us all being from the same household.You all need to go on a customer service course and change your mannerisms its not inviting to customers at all.We had travelled to try your chips but you lost our custom.

I was totally disgusted in the way I was spoken to at this fish bar, I’m 57 and was Greeted by 4 Rockweiler‘s and one poison dwarf, on Entering the shop one came from the back with a bad attitudes saying only 2 at a time, with which I wouldn’t mind that, I understand there rules, but not in the way it was said to me, I do secrets shopper, and I’m commencing that this shop to be reviewed, sorry but at my age I would of expected to be talked to in a good manner, not spoken down 2 😡😡

Been coming here since I was a kid ,,it's been handed down through the family , spotlessly clean and good old fashioned fish and chips

The food is very average but the staff are not very child friendly especially a young girl with bleach blond hair at the ends she looks her nose down at people. Also was moaning about my autistic child who makes spontaneous sounds being to loud. Theres a way to talk to people and that's not the way.

I have ordered from here a few times and the food as been good with massive portions. This is the best fish bar in this area i would recommend coming here...
