Duet Cuisine in Birmingham

Absolutely shocking customer service received from duet this evening. Ordered via just eat waited over an hour saying it was out for delivery called to see if had any update to be told our ordered had been delivered, after trying to explain this wasn’t the case we still had no food nobody had been and was spoken to in a manner that is patronising, disrespectful and very very rude. Basically telling us the food has been delivered so get off the phone after telling them they can’t just hang up they needed to resend food out or refund the £, was told we was being aggressive! I will never order from here again customer service is clearly not a strong point and turn it all around on the customer. How you still have a business Duet is questionable.

Lovely restaurant. Had a very nice lamb biryani here which was the best I've had in a long time. Kids got seekh kebabs which were very spicy but they really enjoyed them.Especially handy if staying at the Fort Dunlop Travelodge (which itself is very good) as it's about a minute walk away.Staff very nice and friendly.

Visited at the end of August of this year and had an absolutely outstanding experience at the restaurant. We were initially a little sceptical about the menu (fearful it might be a jack of all trades but master of none) given that it offered both Indian AND Italian food. I am thrilled to admit we couldn't have been more wrong; my mum and sister opted for Italian whilst my dad and I selected Indian and we were all as equally delighted. The food quality:price ratio is really good especially when you consider that you can take your own alcohol. Personally, I really recommend the Funghi All'Italiana starter, and the Tawa and Karahi curries (one was lamb and the other chicken - meat was incredibly tender and good quality). The ambience in the restaurant is calm and the paintings on the walls are something to behold! Certainly makes for a different experience. Finally, the service of the staff was faultless; very attentive and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would highly highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Fort Dunlop, we really enjoyed our experience there.

Ordered pollo funghi with fries and recieved steak with pasta lol so much different of even looking food.. so disappointed.. from couple of months it’s happened in all my orders from anywhere 😡😡

High expectations quickly squashed to smithereens! The Valentine's menu was over priced and sooo underwhelming. A choice of Italian or Indian- no you can't mix or match as the waiters have been serving since 11.30! Hubby had the indian lamb chops and paid extra to also have the chilli paneer, the chops were ok and the paneer was nice, my Italian prawn starter the waiter made a point of pronouncing 'correctly' was delicious. The self proclaimed expert at Italian food waiter did the same as I ordered my Italian main of fettuccine pollo pronouncing it himself 'correctly' and arrogantly. I asked for no mushrooms- are you allergic or just don't like them??? Hubby went for the chilli chicken and rice, although the taste was ok, there was hardly any chicken and portion was so small served on the plate which went cold very quickly. The pasta was very bland, I asked for salt and questioned the lack of peppers and onions that was in the description to which I was told 3 times it was authentic Italian, yes, in the 3rd comment I had to tell him I had eaten Italian before and he offered to 'indianify' it, of course, I am Asian so I must not know anything but Indian food, ok, I thought at least it will be edible and I don't mind a fusion, well it came out reheated with the addition of chilli flakes! The night was consistently bad as it ended in a 'lover's gateau' which was a Costco carrot cake ruined by cheap chocolate drizzle, disappointed in myself that we were too polite and didn't walk out sooner.

Been here several times now and never had a bad meal! This time it was a mix grill starter and fettuccine a la polo (creamy chicken and mushrooms pasta) delicious! Good, prompt service and great choices of Indian and Italian dishes. Parking is free as the restaurant validates your parking token.

Absolutely appalled at this restaurant!I ordered a takeaway and when it came I am seriously not joking there was at least a 16 inch black hair in the balti, which I have photographic evidence of, stuck to a piece of chicken, honestly it was disgusting. Not to mention it was packed full of grease, it went straight into the bin!AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU LIKE REALLY LONG HAIR IN YOUR FOOD ! 🤢🤢

Food was tasty and fresh. Well made. Set menu for Valentines day but the choice was great. Indian or Italian. Very relaxed, calm surroundings. Polite staff. Would definitely recommend.

Heard a lot about Duet and decided to take the Mrs. halalfoodie there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.For starters we had Scampi Fritti which was prawn fritters and Funghi Italians a mushroom dish. Prawns turned out to be disappointing as they were bland and flavourless and a little chewy. The mushrooms on the other hand were amazing and more than made up for the disappointment of the prawns.For mains we ordered Pollo Speziato which was a chicken breast in tomato and onion sauce and Carre Dagnello which was lamb shank I’m a rosemary gravy. Mains were average.Overall an average dining experience.Please note although the food is halal, they do sell alcohol.

Lovely food!Upon arrival we were immediately approached, shown to a table and seated. The restaurant was very quiet though.We were then handed some menus and given time to peruse them. One of the group commented that it's hard enough choosing from one menu at times but technically having two menus in one, it was a hard choice. The waiter came over to take the order but we hadn't fully decided so took a drink order. The drinks are not on the menu and the waiter reeled off the options for use to choose from.We were then given as much time as we needed to decide what we were going to eat. I went for Indian, 2 others went for Italian and 1 went for an Indian starter with Italian main.Scampi fritters were the 2 Italian starters and they both commented how nice and enjoyable they were. Shish kebab and mixed grill were the 2 Indian starters. My mixed grill was flavoursome, cooked well and a decent size portion for a starter. The shish kebab dish wasn't commented on so I presume it was standard.When the starter plates for taken we were asked if we were ready for our main meals which for me is a positive.Main meals We had, rack of lamb, fillet steak, duet karahi and tagliatelle pollo.My karahi was again a decent portion, very tasty with plenty of meat and prawn. Very nice indeed.The rack of lamb looked and tasted great, cooked well and very enjoyable as was the fillet steak. Fillet is a tough cut to cook correctly to your liking and I was surprised that it was cooked just right to what was ordered (medium rare) both people only had positive things to say about their dishes.The tagiatelle pollo was also nice but having seen the other dishes commented that 'I think I could have choose better'Well you'll know for next time.All in all, the food was great, the service was steady, non pushy but there when you wanted it.A great evening!I would recommend visiting here and trying the food. We'll definitely be going back.
