Harborne Tandoori Restaurant in Birmingham

Rip off. AVOIDFirst they offer you a drink and when you are drunk then they rip you off.First of all this restaurant doesn’t give you a proper receipt where you can see the prices of your food, they write the receipt at the back with hand and they charge you double for the food, and as they don’t give you a proper receipt and you are drunk you don’t see they’ve charged you for everything double the money, thankfully I wasn’t drunk and I catch them, they wanted to charge me £60 when my total bill should’ve been £35 max, when I asked them to calculate the prices in front of me with the menu next to us, I saw that they’ve charged me for my food extra money and plus they’ve told me that their special rice was £2.95 but when the time for paying came they charged me £4.95, and at first they offer you a free little popcorn with 2 sauces and when the time for payment comes they charge you £4.90 for that!In general the most dodgiest restaurant I’ve ever been and no one ever ripped me off like that. I still am sure I paid more even though I catch him.Be careful going to this restaurant.

Went tonight with a friend and the reviews were right! This place is a hidden gem! I loved all of it! Food even tastes better then it looks. Found my curry shop!

Customer service was excellent everyone was so friendly and helpful they always go the extra mile. Food was amazing definitely recommend going if you haven’t been already.. thank you guys for making us feel so welcome and really enjoyed our experience 🙂🙂

This is a really good restaurant. Nice,warm atmosphere and friendly staffs. Im not very confident with ordering Indian food, but my husband and I was recommended to have the Royal Lamb Curry and Garlic Chilly Chicken and it was amazing . We will definitely come back.

We had a delicious meal at Harborne Tandoori tonight. The food was delicious, freshly made and attractively presented. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It felt safe because the staff wore masks, the menus etc were sanitised between guests and the restaurant was spacious and airy. Highly recommend.

Went to harbourne tandoori last night with our friends based on reviews ( four of us) What a fiasco! we had booked this two weeks ago. It was obvious they hadn’t got us booked in but hurried us to a table for four. From start to finish we were totally rushed into ordering our food. The waiters kept coming up up asking if we’d decided. This resulted in us ordering food that we may not have if we’d had time to ask about it and decide at leisure when we asked about dishes we were made to feel we were wasting their time. They just wanted us in and out. The waiters were rushing around like headless chickens made for a very uncomfortable evening. They should calm down, relax and do t take too many people in. Meals out should be relaxing not stressful as this was. Won’t ever go again or recommend it. They did however change our friends curry for a milder one. If he’d had chance to study the menu this wouldn’t have been necessary!!

Excellent food and great value for money! Have been to Harborne Tandoori for years now, eat in and take out, and have always had a great time. Service is always friendly too! Lovely to see their new refurbishments and looking forward to the next meal 😋

Having enjoyed a delivery from here I decided to try it in person to see if it really was as good as good as it seemed to be. I was not disappointed.The welcome, ambiance and service were all conducive to a good experience. The menu contains the usual suspects plus some dishes I'd not seen before.The Onion Bhajis were first rate - nicely cooked with wonderful spicing. I the chose prawn dupiaza and pilau rice. The dupiaza was beautifully sweet and sensitively spiced with the right amount of onions.I'm sure I will be returning.
