Harvester The Fort in Birmingham

Visited Wed 23.3.22We decided on going to Harvester as their online menu was very appealing. It took about 5 minutes of us stood waiting at the door to be seen or seated but not a big problem and we browsed the menus whilst waiting. The service was very friendly and attentive, the lady who looked after us was brilliant.We opted for the weekday 3 course set menu (£16 for 3 courses? What a steal!). We had a cider and a larger, with a refillable soft drink. For food, we had the calamari and mushrooms to start, followed by 2 fish and chips and 2 chocolate brownies. This also came with unlimited access to the salad bar! The salad bar operates as a buffet but due to covid they serve the salad to you (fantastic for someone like my partner who hates the idea of everyone helping themselves to food at buffets).Food came out very promptly, just enough time to get graze on some salad and bread rolls. There was almost no wait time between courses - the whole place ran like a well oiled machine.All of this (3 drinks, 6 dishes, 2 unlimited salads) for under £25 each is fantastic. Lovely stuff!

Amazing food and service, really good options and prices! Food flavour was excellent! All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would 100% recommend and will be returning! Best harvester I’ve tried!

Came here for breakfast and was served by Kat, wonderful, friendly service, she was brilliant. However, upon ordering the breakfast, my friend (who’s a fussy Easter) asked for no mushrooms, egg, or tomato. She wanted some extra beans, and the chef wouldn’t allow this, although she happily paid extra for it. This wouldn’t have cost the chef any extra, and I personally would think that guest satisfaction, and going the extra mile should always come first. There beans and don’t cost much at all. The service was brilliant, but would think twice about returning due to this.

All round poor food quality issue. Salad bar had wilted rotten vegetables and salads. Spilt food lay on the floor for a long time. Steaks were tough and sauces disgusting. Redeeming qualities? Ribs were tender and deserts amazing. That why I didn't give it a 1. Please improve your quality control

Would have been 5 stars if one member of staff made an effort and didnt pretend they had no more bottles of sauce instead of saying they would bring one over after getting one from the back... Luckily there was a lovely waitress (tall blonde ponytail) that helped

Went here this morning with my baby. The service is exceptional, the servers were kind, approachable and attentive to both mine and baby's needs. Highly recommended for families and the food is not half bad. Best harvester I have been to yet.

Came for breakfast. Food was good but the cleanliness of the restaurant was shocking. Food on the floor and sofa chairs from the previous day. Toilets hadn't been cleaned. Spare toilet roll just thrown in hand-wash basin. Staff not wearing masks. Won't be coming back

Went a couple of weeks back with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it. Food was lovely and the service was brilliant. Sally made us feel very welcome and checked if we needed anything and brought us refills.Would highly recommend it. In fact we are going there for breakfast again this morning 😂

You walk in the restaurant for breakfast and after 25 mts you get this burnt toast. Staff here are grumpy and absolutely not bothered. If they are not interested, not sure why they don’t want to do something else. The owners should take serious action.Do yourself a favour, go to Frankie & Benny’s next door.

Went for late lunch - seated quickly and Salad served at the bar. Starters and mains delivered promptly and food hot and tasty. All staff very pleasant and heloful; worth a visit!😊
