Just had a large fish and chips… fish was the same size as the mini fish … chips were refried for deffo… awful … I know the fuel prices have rocketed and these guys must have been hit hard and to save money they are using mini fish as a ‘large’ fish. had to throw the chips away

Really nice traditional chip shop with proper cod and lovely fresh chips. Nice customer service lovely clean interior and presentable staff. All working very hard as a team. Best fish ive had in ages 😋

Scallop was dry as a bone and literally no potato in ( see pics ). I Had to throw it away. It tasted like it had been cooked a week ago. When your paying premium prices I expect at least average to excellent food. I wouldn't give my dog this scallop. Chips were okay.

Absolutely terrible service. I really don't like giving negative reviews but I'll make an exception here.We went in today and looked at the menu and ordered Regular cod and chips as per the menu. She charged me for large cod and chips. When I tried to clarify, she said 'we call a regular a large'. What's that supposed to mean? And to top it off, when she was working out how much she owed me in refund, she was taking ages, so I told her how much, to which she replied 'I know what it is mate'. How rude.As we left, she reminded me to order a MINI if I wanted a REGULAR next time. Sorry love, there won't be a next time.

Ordered via Just Eat waited over an hour for order to arrive. Food opened immediately and was cold to touch. Used a temperature gauge and food measured 30. We called the chippy and spoke to the manager and was told they were not able to help and to take up with Just Eat. Paid for food we could not eat and left to feel hungry after working long day. So disappointed. Very poor customer service.

Ordered a large but got a tiny amount of chips… the worker who served me was rude when I double checked with her it was a large as the bag felt really light. Last time I went the other lady who served gave a lot of chips but this this time it was the size of a mini. Not worth the 8£ Pound at all. And lack of manners.

Served haddock that was probably sitting there for half an hour , batter soggy and the size of small fish. Chips although fresh had no taste whatsoever..if you’re charging over £8 for a portion of fish and chips then make sure they’re up to standard otherwise take the criticism

Excellent chippy! Crispy batter, great fish ( we had cod and haddock), the chips were tasty and cooked well, I even preferred the mushy peas to the ones on offer elsewhere. Delivery was fast; the food was hot. On top of all that - the website options were flexible and glitch free, great value : our new favourite chip shop.

Terrible experience. After my first couple of visits I was so impressed (hence the initial pics) but I'm revising this down due to terrible experiences recently . Each time the portions have been getting smaller and the last time I went the prices have even gone up. As if the tiny portions weren't bad enough, the straw that broke the camel's back is the amount of tiny burnt end bits of batter in my chips. Absolutely disgusting. Everything is really really greasy too.I won't be visiting again.

Used the website to order, food came in good timing and still super hot! All tasted very fresh and good portion size. Had to call to amend my order and staff where super helpful and so polite. Will continue to use weekly abs highly recommend 👌
