Hungry Horse in Birmingham

Nice food, nice staff.. Very welcoming and friendly, the new staff members really make this place it must be a Black Country thing as they go above and beyond every time. I came here for the ABBA tribute and the service received from the manager Karen was outstanding, nothing is ever too much trouble!

Booked for 17 people for joint birthdays. Arrived and was told we were on 3 separate tables. Finally managed to get us all together but it just went downhill from there. Yes we were all paying our own bills and ordered our meals but even with the different food arrivals only 2 meals were actually hot. Did anyone ask if we were ok not once. Were our tables cleared no. Did we feel welcome no. Will we go there again big big NO.

Chain pub with a good range from the menu. Been going there on and off for 4-5years and have NEVER had an issues when ordering a steak, always cooked to perfection.Lately though issues with lack of stock/supply has meant our last visit several weeks ago was a little disappointing.We tend to go on a Monday and they had no, meat, curry chicken, beef burgers or salad.. considering Mondays are steak night specials that was disappointing. Admittedly, everytime we have recently visited there is always something not available on the menu.Otherwise, food is cooked well and served timely. Just need to get those supply chain issues resolved.

We went there for the food, and wished we hadn't. The rump steak was chewy and came without peas (they had run out). I suppose that is an improvement on my last visit to a Hungry Horse when the steak had run out. The Green King IPA was thin and watery, but my companion liked the bottle of wine for only £5.

Decent sized site with both a dedicated dining area and separate bar area! Food prices are reasonable and the food is decent! Overall the site is clean, service is decent and the staff are polite. Large parking space on site with easy access. The only downfall is the sites location and area, it has had a fair bit of negative press and incidents, however these always occur on the weekends when the pub is busiest! It's a shame as in the week it's a great, cheap little place to go for a meal and drink.

Would never go again for a meal there. Ordered at 7.30pm, they started serving it to us at 8.40pm, even after one of our party asked twice why it was taking so long, and informed them that two of the party were diabetics and needed to eat. Two meals had to be returned due to being cold, when one of the returned meals was brought back, it was a completely different meal! I ordered classic salad with salmon, the salmon was barely warm, but I ate it as didn't want to wait longer than I already had. Felt sorry for the waiting staff, as they seemed to bear the brunt of complaints for what was happening in the kitchen. Saving grace was the money was refunded for the inconvenience.

Lovely staff, pubs always clean and tidy and foods good.Suppose have to say this as it's my local pub now all the others have gone.Defo need to.try there new breakfast menu it may be old to others but I've bot seen it before and it's cheap look at photos had to take a Copy. So we can arrange breakfast dates to try these bad boys

Popped in quickly whilst driving past fot a quick drink and bite to eat.Service at the bar and from the food service staff was friendly as well as an easy to use app. We went for the cauliflower wings which were lovely, had a great buffalo style sauce but could have been cooked a little bit more. Still nice though 👍

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd booked on line but they hadn't a record of it. But found our party of 5 a lovely table. A lovely menu with some real good deals. The service was good. Unfortunately we found some of the steaks a little undercooked to what we'd asked for. Disabled toilet available. Disabled entrance too. A nice beer garden also.

Would think twice before going here again, nearly an hour before we could order the food. Total shambles in table service, 3 separate orders to our tables. But ours came out last with kids food. You would think they would bring kids food first.Never cleared table , even when they bought desserts put it right next to the dirty plates. Eventually had to go up to the bar to ask them to move the plates ect, staff just wondering around not even busy. Ordered desserts and nothing like what was on the menu. When asked the server about the items that should be in the desserts, was told yh we ent got anyReply was well not good enough should of been told when ordering.
