Istanbul Restaurant in Birmingham

Awful Experience. Cold food! Cold atmosphere! Rude staff. Quality of food is awful. Over priced. Very overpriced! Kept us waiting for an hour! Will not an would not recommend! Stay away!

Went out to eat in Istanbul. Customer service is fantastic, but the food was terrible.When I say terrible I mean terrible, beyond joke. The only thing which was actually edible is the bread and salad. Never gonna eat there again, learn to cook before you open a restaurant.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere. We were a big group of 25. The kids got free fruit shoots, which the owner went out of her way to get. Would recommend.

I usually don't leave a 5* review but this restaurant deserves it. This restaurant is the main reason why I'm so hooked onto Turkish food, the food is delicious everytime I've been there. They do have their hiccups at times but it gets sorted, the staff are friendly, nice atmosphere & clean.. You definitely get more then what you pay for .. Everytime I feel to eat Turkish food this is the place, no doubt!! No other place can really beat this restaurant in my opinion. Will definitely visit again and 100% recommend. Keep up the good work!!

Food was good but ill be honest the restaurant needs a little fix up. If you guys pay me and mates we'll make it look more attractive and youll get to see a large human size hamster.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant yesterday and had a very warm and friendly greeting. The staff were very attentive with use. The food was very nice and portion sizes were beyond reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

I had a wonderful evening at Istanbul restaurant. Friendly owners serving freshly made authentic Turkish food on real charcoal BBQ. Staff were very welcoming and we were served with great hospitality. Had a mix of things from the grill, can't fault it. Would most definitely recommend 👌

If there was a feature to leave 0 stars then I would. I usually dont have a problem with the food from here but today is was terrible. The lamb adana and chicken beyti was very dry and very hard. I assume this was probably left over during the week and reheated for my order. Usually they are really tasty soft and melt in your mouth. The lamb shish skewers looked like pieces of charcoal like theyve been overcooked. Lastly the falafel was again rock hard and disgusting. Very disappointed and will not be coming back to this shop. Also the menu on the website doesnt match the menu at the shop so dont bother checking it online. After paying £58.50 you would expect everything to be made fresh and be full of flavour. What a waste of time and waste of money. The majority of it went in the bin after trying to find pieces that were not dry or burnt. DO NOT RECOMMEND !!! WILL NOT BE EAT HERE AGAIN !!!

Delicious mixed grill for Two, more than enough for two. Bread salad and dips were unexpected and delicious. New owners but still good quality, no longer serving alcohol but you can BYO.

By far still the best Turkish restaurant in Birmingham. Food is always if high quality and service is good.Place is a bit small and can be busy so making a reservation would be advisable.I do believe they serve alcohol for those that that do not prefer. Food is halal.
