jaqks chicken and chips co in Birmingham

Every time I have ordered from here unfortunately I've always had diarrhea afterwards. I don't know how they manage food hygiene but unfortunately I will stop ordering from here.

Will never buy food from this disgusting establishment again.Visited central Birmingham branch and was told they do not have 8 pieces of chicken and was offered extra wings instead, which I accepted.The food is nasty. Tasteless, no flavour and cold. Would not recommend and will not be revisiting!!Been trying to call to complain and they do not answer the phone.

Ordered a delivery. Arrived earlier than expected which is the only positive feedback I can give. The chips were cold, greasy and inedible. Chicken was OK but, again, cold. The coleslaw was awful, watery and tasteless. Won't be ordering from here again in a hurry

Had the lovely atomic Cajun chips packed with so much flavour and a combination of skin on fries and without . Also had the hot and spicy wings which went down a treat with my brothers . Lastly had the the new crunchy hot wings range which I have to say gave KFC a run for it’s money . Food was hot when arrived and flavoursome . Would definitely recommend to family and friends 😀

Tried it last night and oh boyy garbage customer service. The guy at the till was giving a negative vibe No greetings and what else what else all he said. burger was average ordered the joker . Wings were delicious .. Fried below average and soggy not handcut at all. I love fried food and i can tell chicken.com will give u better food though ir ate it at 3 stars too. Last but not least have had severe stomach cramps whole day today.

Food was cold and left my food outside my house calling me that they left it out and then I asked them to remake my order which they said they will give me a refund however know they refuse to give me refund, you should fire Hussain he blamed me for the food being cold and the chicken burger is pink and I only took a bite to realise it was under cooked, poor customer service and cold food, the only thing that was good was the small cheese cake and the fizzy pop never ordering again and you should fire Hussain with his motto employees always right disgusting and poor🤮🤮🤮 I just vomited from the food given with soggy cold chips.

So. There was a time i admit when Jaqks was amazing. Their chips were ten times better than KFC. Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, the portions great and the gravy the best in Birmingham. What a difference a refurb makes. Jaqks has turned into just another mediocre greasy chicken joint. There is nothing remotely hand cut about their 'hand cut' chips, crisp and fluffy is consigned to history as is the crispy chicken skin (see pic). The oversalted gravy was only three quarters full, pic below is apparently a large gravy at £1.50.Most alarmingly the fresh cooked chicken was taken out of the frier and put next to a cage of uncooked raw chicken waiting to go in. THAT in itself is a reason to avoid eating from here. Ever heard of cross contamination guys? Prices differ wildly if you buy online. In store one chicken portion and chips is £1.99. Online that increases to £2.99. A 50% increase. Used this place for years, back to KFC i go!!Another sad example of quality losing out to business growth, sad thing being to get back to where it was is now an impossibility. The chasm is too wide and the company not bothered. What a shame.

When I walked in and got this bad vibe from a member of staff, I already knew it's going to be a terrible place to eat but I didn't let that get to me as they were getting plenty Uber eats & Deliveroo orders, thinking the food must be good.Boy was I wrong, the service was none existence the staff serving didn't even greet or make any sort of conversation, not even crack a smile. (Get a better job bro, your not happy)We ordered the king fillet burger meal, the bun was cold and very cheap and the fillet was like a chicken steak burger over cooked and hard, the fries were so greasy and soggy, which wasn't worth £8, however the spicy wings were tasty. Was told the drink dispenser wasn't working and was given warm drink cans. (Invest in a fridge)The staff were incompetent and couldn't take simple orders and missed out few things, had to ask again to correct with no apologies or anything. I haven't had bad food in a very long time, but this just topped the scale I pray I don't get unwell. 🙏🏻I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, no service or care in the world for the food they prep, quality of food is very poor and over priced for some plain, soggy fries, could definitely get better at your local Dixy.

JaqksExcellent service. The guy that served us was super friendly as always.Chicken is in my opinion THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN BIRMINGHAM.No exaggeration..... hands down ACE.Definitely worth the trip. Reasonable prices food is always fresh and don't have to wait too long.The buffalo wings are good the sauce on them is so moreish.Single burger is fantasticDouble burger is the same but bigger and even yummier.The chicken fingers are nice and crispy.Haven't had anything on the menu that wasn't good.Fries were fresh and crispy

Heard great things so decided to have a look. All was good till food arrived. No chilli sauce available. It's a chicken shop and the basics isn't available. Finished and asked for wet wipes and didn't have any. Another let done. Would of been a 5 star review but two basic needs not met. Oh well. Hopefully they read this and get some in the near future.
