We have been visiting Jimmy's for years. Spent many dates here with my other half. We were one of the last standing in the restaurant as it closed for lockdown.... and last night was our first night back. New venue, new choices and new prices. We were soo excited to be back, and with our new baby addition who is weaning, so he could explore some of the amazing dishes.New venue is lovely, vibrant, fresh and still spacious. Really good to be able to see all of the kitchen space, and the chefs working as hard as ever.Waiting staff are really attentive, constantly nearby, with tables cleared promptly. Lots of the waitresses were super friendly with our son (and regularly grabbed the broom to sweep under his chair- sorry!)Choices seem slightly less, but still loads of choice. It's very centred around tepenyaki and the grill, and both are brilliant. My ONLY improvement is BRING BACK GROUPON!!! We certainly can't afford to attend regularly now at full price, but totally recommend and love this place.

Veri Nice Place for Vegetarians as well as Non vegetarians. Taste is really good. Food is served hot. Live counter is also good. I liked the ambience.

This was the best World Buffet I've had for years. We went on a Sunday at around 6.30 and the place quite full. All the stations were well stocked and replenished regularly. It had good balance of Indian, Chinese and European food. I rarely eat the carvery roasts in buffets because they are usually dry. The ones here were all succulent and the meat cuts were good. The grill was great, the Indian food outstanding. My wife is a vegetarian and there was plenty for her, she loved the stir fry section. Definitely coming back.

With a Jimmy Spices hankering my husband and I booked our table online. We took advantage of a 25% off voucher advertised on the website. We arrived, we were unaware it had moved location so we called and we were given clear directions. I assume as this restaurant is new the location confusion will iron out over time. The entrance is a little underwhelming at first. We were greated with a smile by a lady. Once we took the lift up we were pleasantly surprised. Did not expect the venue to be highly decorated. Its beautiful! We were seated at our table, and were asked if we had visited the new restaurant before. They explained how the buffet works and the choices available. We ordered cocktails on our visit, which were pleasant. They offer a deal 4 for the price of 2 which we later found out in the evening. Missed opportunity to maybe adverse on the menu or a promotions board. To the food: they offer a grill/stir fry station where there are many meats available per person. My husband really loved his tuna steak. There was a large selection of Indian cuisine this multiple curry's on offer. They have a Mexican and salad bar station available (loved the couscous). There was pizza but didn't get to try this on this occasion but the chefs were preparing the pizzas and they looked very fresh. They had a Chinese section with a few offerings. Great section of deserts and fruits. The venue is smaller than the last but I personally think this is much better as the space flows better. The food option are more limited however i just think all the best dishes are just on one table to speak. The other restaurant had far too many dishes on the floor for limited traffic of customers. I imagine this way it reduces food wastage as well as being much easier to manage.Overall, we thought the mixed grilled vegetables, chilli panner, chicken curry and steaks were the best. All the facilities were clean, tidy and organized. Service with great all staff were attentive and friendly. The manager appeared present on the floor, it was well managed.I will definitely be returning with friends and family. Actually love the fact they have a bar area for aperitifs and then late tea and coffee.

I've been to the old restaurant couple of times, but came to this new one for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing, limited options though, but the quality has become much better, the prices are higher than before, but worth for the product you receive. The restaurant was really busy for a Sunday evening, I would also like to give kudos to Shefali she was just amazing, in all that chaos the only smiling face we saw, and she is extremely professional and a true asset for the restaurant, I wish we could encounter more people like her, I will come back as promised for those cocktails!!!

The return of Jimmy Spices back to Birmingham in a new more vibrant and cosier atmosphere. It has changed and the quality is as good now as ever. Food is obviously fresh but smaller in restaurant size now then before so less of a selection but saying that it's probably the best international cuisine buffet in Brum, lovely friendly staff too. Will go back.

Jimmy's, this was opened in the new location in Oct 2021, I must say this is a lot better than the previous one. The food is good (than any other usual buffet), lots of non veg options, less for veg. They have live counters for noodles, Dosa, naan and grill for fish, meat and Paneer. Naan was the best one I had ever in UK. Most of the items in the menu are Indian. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean. It was crowded when I visited on a Friday evening.Taste 4/5Staff 5/5Cleanliness 4/5Value for money 4/5Ambience 4/5

Jimmy Spices isn’t the easiest to find due to poor labelling around the place but presumably this is a work in progress. We went at lunchtime, being seated in the corner by the window and had to ask someone to clean the table, which basically set the tone for the rest of the meal.Aesthetically the place has been done up tastefully and is very pleasing to the eye. Though with the cleanliness of the tables when it wasnj’t even that busy, I worry about the dust with all the ‘greenery’ hanging from the ceilings over the tables. The options at lunchtime are VERY limited...the only live station was the stir fry which they don’t make very clear in their advertising. We expected a lesser menu at lunchtime due to the price difference but not to this extent for the actual price being paid. The starter and mains options are also OVERLY limited - for example out of the Americas section, all there was is the chilli con carne with taco shells and two types of nachos with various salads! There were most of the Indian starters & curries advertised on the website, but none of the Indian desserts. My onion bhaji was unfortunately still raw in the middle and I had to waste it. My partner didn’t go back for seconds from the curry section which was very unusual being a curry lover! From the European section, out of that on the website, there was only a Margherita pizza and a ‘meat pizza’ (my piece didn’t have any sign of any meat in or on it). There were also some (processed) chicken nuggets and chips. There were a few puddings from the list (the trifle was tinned fruit topped with cream). Chinese starters were prawn crackers, spring rolls and sweet chilli wings (the wings of which were delicious!). There were a few mains and none of the desserts listed apart from ice cream (lots of flavours, all unlabelled so you’ve got to be feeling adventurous if unsure!).Service - I’ve mentioned the dirty table already. Our drinks came during our second plate of starters. One thing I detested is the fact the servers place the dirty plates collected from other tables on your table before taking your plates, whilst you’re eating. On one of the occasions I actually thought someone else’s waste was going to fall on to my plate! Given they weren’t even busy, to leave dirty plates while you were off selecting more food which you are then left eating next to seems a little complacent. I asked which of the desserts were halal and they helpfully came to point out the three desserts. When I spotted another two puddings I wanted to try, due to the texture I thought I’d double check with them again and I’m glad I did as they weren’t halal either but they’d missed them initially! All in all, the quality of food was nothing to write home about - at lunchtime anyway. Unless the dinnertime buffet is a world of difference to the lunchtime buffet, I couldn’t recommend this place but certainly based on my experience I’m in no hurry to go back. Service charge is 10% which was most certainly not earned but as it was only £2 we couldn’t bother with disputing it. We ate at Jimmy’s first in 2004 and are quite disappointed with this wholly underwhelming experience.

To start we had difficulties finding the restaurant signage could be better.Food was just OK overall, nothing to jump out and wow us sadly. There was not a huge selection compared to a visit of he same named restaurant I visted about 8 - 10 years ago in Stratford upon Avon. The dessert station was lacking anything proper, the selection was plain as if it had been mass ordered in, tasteless really. It seems like the biggest offer was Indian food with very little of anything else really. The live cooking stations were a good sight although I have some concerns especially with the BBQ station and the use of tongs handling raw meats then immediately turning or serving cooked meats. The man on the naan tandoor was quite abrupt and miserable with no manners, addressing customers with one question being 'yes?',I found that quite rude to be honest. The waiting staff were brilliant, very polite addressing customers as Sir and Madam. The drinks menu seemed fairly priced aswel. The restaurant also adds a 10% service charge to the bill which I asked to be removed, I want it to be my choice to tip the staff not long the pockets of higher management. On a visit to the toilet facilities I was surprised to find open electrics in the walls and a disgusting toilet pan... outside and in, I will attach photos of this. All in all yes we ate well but the food wasn't amazing, I was left disappointed with my visit after looking forward to it for the whole day.I wouldn't recommend to friends or family. It doesn't compare to the old branded restaurant at all, the food on offer was mostly spicy, I would rename to Spicy Jimmy's because its not a scratch on the old Jimmy Spices.Rather disappointed
