Mela in Birmingham

Only starter was good. Sadely charged for chutney trey aswl. 99% indian restaurent its come with papadom.

No matter if your eating in the restaurant or having it delivered at home the food and service is 5*, very polite staff make you feel at home. Iv never tasted food that's got so much flavour. I would recommend mela to anyone you won't be disappointed.

Food was reasonable quality, service let this place down. I know we visited on a busy evening but I felt the level of service/speed of service was very poor

Probably the best Indian Restuarnt in the area. Great food_excellent service with friendly staff......eat at your at your own pass.....no rush....fresh food.

Our first visit to this restaurant was on Wednesday and we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic - very friendly and attentive waiters.We both enjoyed our meals but the only reason I've not awarded 5 stars is due to the fact my dish contained garlic that had been burnt which overpowered the flavour which would have otherwise been perfect 👌However still a lovely meal, fantastic service & a lovely atmosphere.Will definitely be returning

Food was ok. Not the best we've had.Importantly there were absolutely no Coronsvirus measures in place at all. Tables were not spread apart (I was literally about 30cm from the guy sitting at next table to side of me), no hand gel or track and trace system as is recommended. Was literally just an overly packed restaurant like one might have been before Coronavirus.Wouldn't be surprised if they end up being focus of a local outbreak as has been case elsewhere.Will not be returning.

The waiters were very slow at taking our orders. The food was poor... I had the northern chilli chicken curry. It had 4 pieces of chicken in tons of tomato sauce with half an onion chucked in with chunks of peppers. The water in the toilets was ice cold. You could smell cigarette smoke from outside whilst sitting upstairs. The chairs were seated too close to one another making it difficult and tight to get out.

Amazing restaurant ever! Fresh delicious food made to perfection. Fast and great polite service. Beautiful atmosphere so much care taken into preparation of food. All staff are incredibly well mannered and ever so polite. I have never been disappointed just like all their customers I leave with a big smile it’s truly worth every penny. Delivery is also more than satisfactory food is always hot on time and the delivery staff are smart smiling and polite. Definitely top star service all round It’s a 100% vip service received always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bland food, atmosphere was ok the deco was chic. Ordered a variety of drinks all of which were really warm. Did complain about this but I was told by the waiter this was due to hot weather conditions, clearly not aware of what a fridge is? Starters were very bland. Mains was ok. Won't be returning, you can get better tasting food for the same price elsewhere.

Fantastic food, whether served within the restaurant or takeaway. A "proper" vegetarian menu with plenty of variety. Food is always fantastic and the service is always excellent. Very accommodating - they re-organised the tables, despite being busy, so that our 2 month old daughter and pram would fit. This review has been written after consistently enjoying Mela's food over a number of visits - we intend to continue giving them our custom!
