Stunning decor. We were helped to park by a really lovely parking attendant. We were seated with menus and left. We asked a waitress we were ready to order she came over with a full attitude taking our order.(possibly needs additional training) Our food arrived promptly with a friendly waiter who looked after us throughout our meal. The food was mediocre and it was pretty cold inside. Two stars awarded one for the polite parking attendant and the friendly male waiter. We will not be returning.

I came here because I heard it had a revamp and was looking forward to dinning out with friends. I walked in and was really pleased with what they had done to the place, it looked brilliant. But it all went down hill after I ordered the food. The price should reflect the quality of food and not decor/ambiance. It's all very well going for the fancy look etc but your main product needs to be spot on as in 'food'.

Absolutely beautiful atmosphere, I loved the decor. We were a big group and the staff were very helpful. The food was delicious too. 10/10 recommend

Visited on boxing day early evening. Ambiance and decor was good as the restaurant has been recently updated. Plenty of parking and a convenient location near to Hall Green. Inside it was rather cold as the heating appeared not to be on. The food presentation was good. The overall quality/taste of the starters Main & deserts could have been better. A bit pricey. The service was very efficient. The food quality needs to improve for it to be successful and popular restaurant.

We visited this restaurant as a family of 4 on Saturday. We did not have a booking, so we walked in. It was around 6.30 and it wasn't too busy.We ordered shish kebabs which were the highlight of our meal, they were nice even though they were slightly on the expensive side of £5.20 for a portion. We also ordered chicken Tikka portion to try out which again was perfectly chunky pieces of chicken. The best parts of our meal were the starters. We ordered a lamb and chicken handi for mains with chapatti and this is where the standards dropped slightly. The lamb handi was quite tough and chewy and not as hot as we expected it to be. From the two curries, the chicken handi was the better of the two, but still not as hot as we expected it to be. Considering we paid £12 for the lamb handi and £11 for the chicken handi we expected the meat to be cooked better and more attention to be paid to it. On a positive note, the ambience, decor and service are all 100%, but the food could definitely be better and its the food that we got to places for, so expect good food to be served. This was our first time trying Mughal E Azam, but wont be going back in a rush. The photos I have attached show that presentation is definitely 100% but the taste is what let us down hence the 3 star rating.
