Excellent food and service. The waiter and all staff are brilliant. Thankyou again for little man's birthday cake and candle surprise.

The gaffer got us to try the new starter, prawns, your tongue tingled with the spices then it didn't and then it did again, the flavouring and spicing, amazing.Chicken saag as main with a lamb Biryani, the saag full of flavour and a good portion, the lamb in the Biryani was huge and fell apart.Always a great place to go.

The tandoori chicken biryani was absolutely delicious . Out of this world I have to say . The blend of spices , the aroma and the quick delivery also was phenomenal . I enjoyed every single bite of this biryani . That’s why I’m giving Royal Watan on Pershore Road a massive 5 stars . Keep it up lads 👌👍

Absolutely disappointed with small quantity for the money they charge. Biryani 10.50 and special biryani 11.50 and see the quantity. Just spoke with the manager who was very humble and apologised. he offered for the refund which was kind of him but as I ate the food so didn't wanted to get refund. I wouldn't recommend if you are damn hungry and need good quantity.

Absolutely great fine-dining restaurant! The waiters were very welcoming, helpful and kind. The food was on another level (although I was slightly disappointed by the chicken biryani, due to portion size and taste) but my mood was then lifted when I had the Lamb Chops, which were out of this world. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as it's great for families to!

Was recommended to go here, must say it’s one of the best curry’s I have had in years. Really clean, good quality food, service was spot on. Also do Milkshakes which went down a treat after dinner

Wow! Everybody needs to check out this place! The staff are very welcoming and friendly from start to finish. And the food - lots of choices, all very tasty and filling too. The service was great and the food is worth waiting for. I'm already looking forward to returning. Thank you all so much.

We visited Royal Watan on my birthday yesterday. It doesn't look massive from the outside but is deceptively spacious and quite comfortable once seated. We were a group of eight and had booked in advance. The table was ready for us upon arrival which was extremely efficient and greatly appreciated. Waitresses were lovely.Welcome was good and service was polite and friendly throughout. We ordered various items including Jalfrezi-style Lamb, Tava Chicken, Lamb Chops & Chips plus a neat little Chicken Nuggets & Chips Meal for the little one.Food was well-made for the most part and spicy without being nuclear. Naans were large and sauces were very tangy too.Fizzy Drink jugs were big enough for us to only require two jugs for eight people. A lot of restaurants are extortionate on drinks nowadays which is always pretty out of order. It was a pleasant evening overall with few complaints.Thank you, Royal Watan. We hope to see you again soon - insha Allah.

My wife and I went to Royal Watan yesterday for my 39th birthday after we Googled a few places. When it comes to South East Asian food we look for a place with good reviews from the South East Asian population as a way to measure, this had it.We were not disappointed. The customer service was excellent, the atmosphere was calm even though it was busy for a Tuesday and the food turnaround time was expected for authentic curries. The food was on point and the flavours were rich and authentic, close to home cooked dishes. The time taken was about right for such quality dishes, as we know from experience of cooking curries the longer you cook spices the better the aroma and flavours. We ordered (see photos) Onion Bhaji for starters, Balti Fish Karahi and Lassawalla Gost for mains, Tardka Dal for side (I always get this in each South East Asian restaurant to test their cooking as you have to be able to cook this well if you claim to be good). We got the medium garlic naan and that was plenty for 2 people. We had to order 2 rice as the portion was a little small for 2 people to share. I've already mentioned it to the owner Imran.I decided to compliment the chef and speak to Imran in person to thank him, it seemed we had a lot more to talk about than the food . He came across as a genuine person who really cares about his customers experience and the food they provide. That really made us feel more appreciative of going there. To top it off, when he found out it was my birthday we received a complimentary dessert (see photo) that wasn't a part of the menu yet. The dessert menu is being developed but I'll tell you, it was pretty amazing compared to a lot of the dessert places that are available on the main Asian roads who are supposed to be dessert experts. All in all a very good, authentic restaurant when it comes to food quality, price and service. Plus they offer a free privilege card with 15% off, so really worth grabbing if you're eating Indian/Kashmiri/Pakistani cuisine regularly. The place doesn't serve alcohol but you can bring in your own. Soft drinks are available and so you're not allowed to bring in which is fair enough.Car parking isn't available at the place as its on Pershore Road but there's free parking on the side roads before and after if you can find a spot.
