Sen in Birmingham

Just one criticism really: the leg of lamb was a bit too heavy and salty. I was also expecting it to be on the bone but I didn't mind that.Everything else was excellent!Really nice atmosphere and we'll definitely be back!

I would of given five stars but when we arrived we were waiting for 10 minutes for someone to great us. My partner had to walk over to the bar in order for us to be noticed but we still waited another five minutes so we decided to just sit at the bar then a waitress showed us to a random table in a corner across from the kitchen. Well that's what it felt like. This was supposed to be a romantic date and it never felt that way. I even had to ask the waiter to light my candle, so i was not impressed at all, even though I booked this table a week in advance. Then they had the nerve to take a 20 pounds deposit and I was not late. If I'm not mistaken on the website it says if late or a no show a deposit will be taken. On the other hand the food was amazing which deserved a five star.That's why I'm only giving three stars because of the service. If I decide to give it another chance I hope the service is better.

Great restaurant. The staff were good and polite. The interior is stunning and the food is simply brilliant. The menu is very versatile. Had a great time here with a group of 15 and were and to our order the food before hand. Loved it.

We had the Ko Samui full moon set menu and it was beautiful. Very spicy but very tasty. Picture shows the starter platter. Very generous portions even with it being a sharing banquet. I’d definitely recommend. Great service and friendly staff. Could actually eat this again right now thinking about how tender the chicken was.

I recently visited Zen with friends following a recommendation.A good quality Thai restaurant is pretty difficult to find, especially now that a number of smaller operators have really struggled throughout the pandemic as we would expect, but I have to say that my evening at Zen was fantastic.The food was fresh and of a very high quality, the service was very friendly and personalised, and the overall ambience was wonderful.I think it's very important to acknowledge when you have a great experience and Zen certainly delivered for us on this occasion.I look forward to visiting again soon!

Had an absolutely fabulous Christmas Day meal here. Food was beautiful as well as plentiful (my other half's main concern) and service was great. Thank you for such a great day!

Highly recommended the Pad Kra Pao dish served with optional rice, vegetables or fries in my case. Wonderfully tasty with just the right amount of spice and of course Zen’s excellent service 👍😋

Lovely place, relaxed atmosphere and great staff. The waiter must have heard me say happy birthday to my friend as when her dessert came out the had written it on her plate. Food was so tasty, will definitely be going again.

Went for my Friends birthday our first visit would recommend this place for a special occassion or celebration went in October.The food was well worth the money was fresh and delicious. Had the vegetarian sharing starter the Tofu was tasty. I had the lamb massman curry the meat was tender and the Jasmine rice not over fragrantThe surroundings are beautiful service was excellent staff are very friendly.

Probably the best Thai restaurant I had a chance to visit. Fresh and delicious food. Staff did the best to give the excellent service, they gave us the time for waiting for food, the drinks were brought very quickly, so we didn’t have to sit at empty table, lovely details of interior to have a nice pictures taken at. Places is very spacious, tables are not squeezed together (which I hate in some places).Lamb dish was gorgeous, for those who love lamb I can say with confidence- go for it! Vegan meal was something Amazing too. Highly recommended! We will visit Zen again.
