Sheldon Fish Bar in Birmingham

As usual ALL the negative comments are regarding cold food from telephone orders (Uber, Deliveroo etc), take a tip - go and fetch the food yourselves, you lazy b*st*rds. Then it'll be nice n hot.

Just received our order, which took 90 minutes. The delivery driver had no clue of what the cost was . I gave him £17 for the order of £16 ! for one mini fish and chips and one meat kebab. The food was cold . The pita bread burnt. It’s was disgusting . Having used the Sheldon chippy for years. We won’t be using it again. I called back to complain but no answer.Very disappointed.

Just had mini fish n chips and my OH had a kebab..both beautiful and hot. Chips were quite brown too which I like instead of the pale looking ones! Well done sheldon

Placed an order on uber eats. I am staying in a hotel. Stated in the notes I will meet delivery person in reception. Expected delivery time was 19.10 to 19.30. I sat in reception waiting, all of a sudden my order was cancelled. When I rang the chip shop to see why my order had been cancelled they advised it was because they couldn't contact me. No one called me and I was sat in reception waiting. Surley if the delivery person had have come in the hotel and i wasnt there would the sensible thing be to give my name to reception to call my room? - the delivery person clearly didn't bother to come into the hotel reception . They did not offer to re send my food or tel me to re order. Dreadful service. Wouldn't reccomend. Wasted nearly 1h of waiting for nothing - and response to your comment parking is FREE - the driver just needs to take a chip from reception for the car park! Hence yet more proof your driver didn't come into the hotel!

First order from Sheldon Fish Bar and would highly recommend. Kebab was amazing. Friendly helpful staff, got a regular customer now.

EDIT: Since new management took over I've noticed a steep decline in both portion and quality. I ordered a kebab via their website about a month ago and the kebabs delivered were just sad. The pita was stiff, the döner meat was both obviously sparse compared to the pre-management switch portion and a little on the undercooked side. The onion rings we got with our order were also soggy.I wont be ordering from here again. See pics for proof.

Ordered food online (which was very straight forward) but was disappointed with the quality of my food when it arrived. The fish batter was soggy, the chips were brown and the mushy peas were watery and bland. The only reason I gave a 3 star was that my partners kebab was lovely. Such a shame 😕

Huge portions of chips and choice of small and regular fish position. They offer burgers, kebabs band other food as well. Quantity versus quality is good.
