Shogun Teppan-Yaki in Birmingham

We used a wowcher to go here for lunch. It was very quiet and we had a table to ourselves for the first 45 mins. The food tastes amazing a different to anything you can get anywhere else. The portion size is adequate, it won't fill you up but won't leave you hungry. The waitress was lovely both on the phone and in the restaurant and the chef was so happy and Engaging.

Really good experience, very entertaining, watching the chef cook at the table food well presented and tasty I would definitely recommend and will be back

What a fab night. Food was excellent, a spectacular show from chef! Really fun and welcoming environment.. Great staff and good plum wine. An extremely tasty and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Delicious sushi! Definitely one of my favorite places in Birmingham.When we arrived, we were a little disappointed that the sushi belt was not working. Justin, the chef behind the bar, asked if we wanted to leave it up to him to choose our food and we said yes. We were NOT disappointed! We honesttly had one of the best meals we've had in a while! The sushi was great quality and the service was fast and friendly. Would 100% recommend.

The nigiri and maki (sushi) was beautifully presented and tasted beautiful, on the side was wasabi and ginger to compliment and refresh the palate for the next morsal.Fried shimp was exceptional, light and crispy with sauce on the side to give it a kick and make the palate dance.The chicken teriyaki was nice and sweet.The squid rings was abit oily which wasn't a problem for me.Now the customer service, what can I say, The staff were very polite and attentive, all welcoming with a smile on their faces, the chef also asked if everything was okay and was there anything else we wanted which left a good impression.A PLACE I WILL COME AGAIN TO NO DOUBT.

The sushi buffet is delicious. It is more expensive for dinner than lunch, it was £42 for 2 people, with one drink. Is no cheap.

Stumbled across this place by accident and was delighted. Chefs are brilliantly entertaining, food delicious. We had set meals plus platters of shushi and sushimi. The table arrangements are very sociable too and you end up feeling like lots a party. The sake probably help with that 😄

One of my favourite restaurants in Birmingham. Meats are fresh and food is delicious. I love the teppanyaki. The chefs are so entertaining. Very good service and good value for money.

Completely blown away. This place is amazing, the service, the staff, drinks & food 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The Teppan-Yaki Special was incredible & there's so much delicious food to eat so keep your tummies empty for the 7 courses if you choose this option. The teppan-yaki chef we had is a master on the grill and a skilled showman who entertained us all greatly.The food & ingredients were all fresh & tasty.All of the restaurant staff spoke to us & helped us during the course of the evening, which was lovely as it felt inclusive & like everybody wanted to help us. Every time we needed a new drink the bar staff were on it quickly & efficiently.We werent sure if we could park in The Cube so we parked on Washington Street (the street right outside the restaurant), it was free to park at the time (19:30), & the restaurant is on the ground floor of The Cube, so easily acessed from the door on Commercial Street - No steps & a very short walk.Thank you Shogun for a great evening - We'll be back 🙏🏽

Great restaurant! Would definitely recommend. A little pricey but certainly worth it. Chef was friendly and funny enhancing the experience, though because of the mask it was at times difficult to hear. A song by 'Boy George' was on repeat a few times but otherwise the music selection was 70s & 80s. Didn't hear any Japanese style.Varied selection of tasty food. Good place for family, couples or meeting with friends. All staff were wearing masks and you could tell they had smiles on their faces...very pleasant staff.
