We came as a large group of South Asian queer people - the place felt welcoming and we had no issues entering the bar. The security team were extremely polite and we felt very safe and secure in the venue. Thank you for making us feel welcome and for not staring at us for being a large South Asian queer group.

This was my first experience out in a gaybar had an absolute blast, the energy was amazing, the people were lovely and the security were friendly, the wait for drinks wasnt too bad either and the bartenders were all sweet, highly recommend it , will definitely be coming back

Had an issue with the shift manager last night but am happy to say after lodging a complaint the issue was resolved very efficiently.

Great karaoke on Tuesdays from 8pm. Carla the host is fab! Great to see such high energy from a host. There is even a prize draw for singers for £25 which I was surprised to win on my first visit! My review loses 1 star as I think drink prices were pricey for a quiet weekday. 2 cocktails for £15! £3.70 for a pint. I did notice they do drinks a little cheaper on a Thursday.

Very beautiful, big and clean bar with very lovely stuff, especially Carla at the karaoke!I really enjoy that night, she's very professional with a great voice, knowing how to entertain people! The reason why i give 4 stars instead of 5 is because were not to many people in the bar and I don't understand why... The otherd bar looks kinda bad inside and the stuff is rude sometimes, but they still have a lot of clients.I think Sidewalk is very underated and should promote more. It's really worth it in my opinion and for sure I will come back with all my friends! !

Wasn’t allowed in despite having a valid form of ID. Door staff gave no reasoning for them not knowing the law and instead ignored me. Don’t bother.

We met to this bar, went out to have a cigarette and saw the bar staff clear the tables with our drinks unfinished and completely denied that they did and blamed it on other customers taking our drinks. We saw them clearing the table from outside and refused to replace our drinks. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to speak to us. Literally the worst I’ve ever been treated in the gay village.

I have come here every week for nearly 3 years and always supported them, but for this place to refuse the person I was with, entry on a afternoon because he carried life saving medication in a bag is completely out of order. An email will sent as "you can leave it in the car" is an unacceptable answer when he needs this medication immediately if an attack should take place. Disgraceful

Like the Village this is perhaps one of the only venues on Hurst Street that I would recommend. It is far classier than The Missing Bar in my humble opinion and you do not have to be on guard 100% of your visit. It is clean, staff are and always have been approachable and friendly, you have a generous selection of cocktails and beverages at the tip of your fingers, and the food is far from shabby too.

I went here on Saturday evening, I was pleasantly surprised. Quite large inside with plenty of tables. I was greeted at the bar by a very friendly lady, I think she was American but not sure, ordered two lagers which were very reasonable in price. I sat out the front at the street tables. The table was kept clean and empty glasses cleared frequently. Toilets were spotless too. Overall it was really relaxing with a friendly barmaid and cheap lager. Spot on.
