Only stopped in for a pint, but 1st impressions I would definitely go back. Warm and friendly pub.

Stumbled upon this quaint Inn today after Storm Franklin's winds had forced all the local National Trust properties to close. Out of the cold wind was a cosy old inn with real fires, and nice coffee for elevenses followed by a good lunch too. Menu maybe slightly more limited than some but all the food was well liked by all of us. All staff were friendly and welcoming, so we came back later for desserts after a walk. The canal right behind is worth a look, with the bottom of the 9 locks on the Lapworth Lock Flight the first one you come to.

Second time visiting here now and bot times have been brilliant. Service is great, sat in the outside heated bit which was really nice. All 3 courses were fantastic and we'll presented. Will definitely be back soon

The staff are great, the food was lovely. But, we were seated in an outside marquee, one minute it was warm, the next it was cold. As our meal lasted almost 3hrs, it wasn't great. After being seated, the drinks came quick, followed by our order being taken. A short time later the starters came. Some time later, we started to get our main meal, the first 4 of the 6 meals came out, after a bit of a wait the other 2.Maybe 5 minutes later the side orders, then we had to wait for the veg.If it wasn't for the restaurant temperature and the main course problems, I'd recommend the Boot.

We had a Covid-delayed Christmas day here in January, and it was fantastic. Dog-friendly, lovely staff and the food is absolutely delicious. Chicken skewers, calamari, lamb shank and veggie pethivier were all gorgeous. Shout out to the guy who looked after us and ran out with our Christmas presents when we left a bag there.

Came here for lunch for my wife's birthday. Amazing meal, fantastic flavours, beautifully presented and great atmosphere in a country pub! Long may it continue. We'll be back.

Excellent lunch for a big birthday party. Service was great and the food really fantastic all round. 5 stars!Although I have given 5 stars I'd add a warning that for me the vegetarian options really are not up to scratch for me. A single veggie main option is poor.Us evil veggies and vegans are multiplying like an infection!Your kitchen is clearly very competent and should get on board, or risk getting left behind.Lovely lunch though.

Food was great but the waiters were a little forgetful, but great food and a overall nice place. (The Christmas hats were a good laugh)

·

Beautiful pub and delicious food, but the exceptional service is the jewel in its crown. We went for a family celebration and they looked after us so well. Thoroughly recommended.

This is one of my favourite places to go for every single occasion! You are treated so warmly by ALL staff members and the experience has been nothing less than amazing. It was my first trip back since COVID and I was so impressed to see how well they have followed the regulations and still kept their high standard of service and food - regardless of how busy it was! Definitely couldn't recommend it enough!! Never have had a bad experience here at all.
