Good place to visit , wether it's for a few drinks, food or just watch sports ..a good variety of drinks and also a good selection of food on the menu too ..a well run place 👌

Well what can I say a good pub is a busy one.fantastic range of drinks and cocktails not to mention the good old mighty planks for food. Why have one starter while you can make a feast with 5! staff are out of this world and make sure they go there extra mile for you.chefs always look very clean considering the amount of food gets pushed out of the kitchen. It sure does get a 10 from Len.

I’ve been coming to the goose for years and it’s because the staff are amazing. I love the food and range of drinks. Always a good laugh when me and my friends come in. Can’t recommend enough

The only pub in selly-oak that I enjoy visiting as a family. Always a warm welcome and a good meal! Manager and staff have always been great!

Great pub. Helpful and welcoming staff. Tasty food. Comfy environment. Gave us a takeaway container and carrier bag to take our leftovers with us. Staff went that little bit extra that makes all the difference. Very enjoyable lunch out.

Staff really friendly. Food was good and tasty. Had a problem with a dessert but was soon rectified Prices £ . Lots of students coming and going . Offers on free drink with certain meals. Lots of TVs around to watch sports. Went at lunchtime Atmosphere was good . Toilets checked and clean. Usual graffiti behind toilets doors . Really don’t know why people do that and have the time !! No car park but found a space on a street opposite. We couldn’t eat all the food . Staff offered us a carton and brown bag to take the rest home . Great idea for those with a smaller appetite .Yes I would definitely go again.

Very poor experience here. First time I have visited in about 8 years and was saddened by some of the changes. The old pub used to be cosy and warm feeling. I recommended visiting to my partner as I used to love the venue so much. When we entered it was steady, about half the tables taken. We chose our drinks (from a fairly good selection) - we went for a Blue Moon and a Brewdog pale ale. The horrific part was being served into a plastic disposable pint glass?? If I'm paying nearly ÂŁ10 for 2 nice pints, I would at least expect a glass for my drink. There was a select group of people at the end of the bar who were privileged enough to have glasses but myself and my partner were stuck with an underwhelming drink. Understandable at clubs but we're nearing 30 years old looking to dine out at 6pm on a Wednesday and not trusted with glassware? We took our drinks outside in the hope of escaping the really loud pop music playing in the bar. To be honest, we sunk these pretty quickly and went elsewhere instead. It was a shame as our plan was to have a few drinks and order some food (but the concept of potentially eating off a paper plate wasn't for me).Provably a great pub if you're a student but otherwise I'd avoid completely. We won't be visiting again, such a shame it isn't the place it used to be.

Hand dryers not working in gents. No atmosphere, too much head on beers. Shame it's just marketed to students as it could be lovely

Fantastic atmosphere. All the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly and really make it a worthwhile and memorable experience. Would definitely visit again and bring others with me. Really good menu available and their sports showings are really good as they can play different games on different TVs to cater to customer requests. They also have so many different types and flavours of gins and vodkas available and make lovely cocktails that are really reasonably priced! I was in recently and they have decorated the whole pub for Christmas and it definitely stands out and just looks so pretty inside. 10/10 definitely worth a visit

Organised my Sports Christmas Dinner there the other day and they catered for all 57 of us. Food arrived quickly (given how many of us there were), and was really good, staff were friendly and put in a lot of effort to make sure we had a lovely day, including decorating the tables and being really friendly. They were very receptive over email too in the run up to the event, which made my life a lot easier. Thank you, we all had such a lovely day!
