All of them have been nothing but loving and supportive towards my family. My uncle passed away last August not only did they put on an amazing wake for him they also raised money to buy him a memorial bench at their pub! I love Kaz and the team to pieces. She’s such an amazing woman and me and my grandad Stan want to thank all of them from the bottom of our hearts for being so nice towards us all, they treated us like family not customers. We love you guys! ❤️

We went to the Hazelwell Pub and had the best night for our sons 14th birthday family celebration. The food was amazing, and the staff went above and beyond to make him feeling special. Very good value for money. Thanks again to all the staff xx

Popped in yesterday as never been to this sizzler before. Nice welcoming staff. Ordered the mixed grill as I usually do at a sizzler and have to say that was one of the best I had tried. Steak cooked to perfection which is a rarity in any establishment but, these guys nailed it. Would definitely come back

Late booking for 18 hungry people (including 3 kids) from Encounter Church Weoley Castle - Claire did a great job of looking after great hospitality and attention to detail - well done!

So. I decided several weeks ago to go to the Hazelwell pub as I lived in this area as a younger man and fancied a trip down memory lane. I enjoyed my first Saturday night visit about 7 weeks ago with the family and the bar served till midnight. Two more Saturday night visits after this the pub closed at 11pm and we all had to leave early. I decided to drink somewhere else that opened till midnight after this as I tend to only go out once a week and would like to make the most of my night out. However on the 4th Nivember The Hazelwell pub posted on its Facdbook page that it would now be opening weekends till midnight with a picture of a clock and the words "OUR HOURS HAVE CHANGED now serving till midnight". Great I thought and went down with the family on Saturday night 13th November. Last orders rung and bar closed early now at 11.30pm. Really is this anyway to run a business. Yes it was quiet and will only get quiter in my opinion if you cant compete with local businesses or honour your own advertising commitments. Dishonest and misleading. I will be going elsewhere now.

Having visited here previously and not returned since after lockdown, myself and my partner decided to attend today which is a decision we regret.Having ordered our food coupled with drinks we sat down to enjoy our time there. However, that was short lived as firstly, my wine was served in a clearly dirty glass. Initially we thought, ok, small issue, as the staff were apologetic and happy to replace it.I mean, given the current pandemic, one would expect clean glasses to be a proprity in any hospitality venue but we put it down to a simple mistake and continued. Our food then arrived some 15 minutes later and my surf and turf was edible but my partners double classic cheese burger with an extra buttermilk chicken fillet and extra cheese came out but the chicken fillet was freezing cold on the inside.Unfortunately, my partner discovered this having taken a bite of the burger! We couldn't believe it. Serving partially cooked chicken is not only disgusting but it is dangerous and my partner could have got food poisoning. When we complained to the waitress, she seemed polite and apologised and said a new one would be out in a few minutes leaving the partially eaten burger with us.Some 10-15 minutes later, I'd by now finished by meal and you couldn't make this up, but a burnt chicken fillet appeared in a bowl with what looked like melted burnt cheese on top! My immediate response to what was placed on the table was, "are you joking?!" and in response the waitress said, "I didn't know what he had!"So we were left with a completely cold double classic cheese burger, food poisoning ridden chicken fillet and a burnt chicken fillet! Not surprisingly, my partner refused to eat any of it and on seeing this, the waitress then came over and offered us a refund. Now considering we we paid with a credit card, the waitress then came over with cash which was £1 short to what the total burger would have cost but at this point, we couldn't be bothered to complain any further as clearly this venue lacked any type of customer service.Surprisingly, the chef then came out of the kitchen, but not to approach us and apologise, to walk past us! So my partner then confronted him with his meal and the response we got was, "I was just told to redo one part of the meal!"There was no apology, nothing. This is absolutely appalling. We simply got up and left not even finishing our drinks as we were disgusted. We will never return to this pub and will ensure all of our friends and family do the same.If I could leave less than 1 star, I would!I have already complained to the pub directly regarding this.

The place is very clean and staff are very pleasant, surroundings are comfortable. However allthough the fish meals were nice they were certainly not value for money compared to other Inn's .very disappointed and won't go again. That's my personal opinion but I think they made a Mistake and served us the cheaper version off fish and chips. So i give the benefit of the doubt hence 4 stars.

The welcome was limited, should have been more friendly as I am a woman on my own - did what was needed ... Stella artois was a nice pint ... the breakfast - dry beans done in microwave it seemed, sausages tasted funny, the two slices of bacon were differnt colours one pink and the other gray, the scrambled egg was very nice as well as the mushrooms, wish there was an option for tinned plum tomatoes. Music was good, women's toilets clean, all round average on cleanliness.
