We booked a table for yesterday (Sat 12.03.22) for a meet up with friends who had all travelled from different locations and met here and so glad we did. It was a great find. The bar area is bright and clean and fresh and the initial greeting from the hostess was super friendly. Parking really easy as I managed to spot a space in the front of the pub which I was told was free....even better. The table was placed in the widow adjacent to a lovely outdoor area which would be great in warmer days,Food, I had the fish and chips which was reasonably priced (for these days!) And it was massive, the chips were amazing and my friends ordered pork ciabatta rolls which they all said was delicious too. The staff were so attentive and never left us hanging but also were so mindful when we needed space which I find is a wonderful balance hard to find at many places.Toilets, excellent, clean, fresh, great.Desert....we chose the tea/coffee with a brownie option which was fab, it even came with some ice cream too, a nice bonus. We never felt under pressure to eat up and go, and had a lovely afternoon, thank you so much Highfield. All in all, really would recommend this lovely pub.

Walking in, it was a very nice atmosphere and felt welcome instantly. Seeing other people's dishes come out helped with our choices as there isn't too much selection but enough to make it difficult to choose between a couple of choices. The food I must say was not as good as expected but it was still very nice and would go again happily. Portion sizes are good for a restaurant and look like they are made fresh, for the most part. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming and as mentioned, I would happily go again.

Overpriced, for very average food (breakfast in my case). The interior is lovely, but the food is very average considering the cost - bland, unseasoned and smashed avocado was mashed pure consistency. One staff member quite condescending, doesn't seem to care about our custom. We split the bill, and have been asked to tap card on reader without being told or shown how much we're actually paying.

First visit of the new year and still in love with this pub. It’s everything and more I expect when visiting such a fine establishment. The warm welcome from the team and managers is genuine and pleasant. The place is always immaculate and the service impeccable. You guys never disappoint, you really are a level above the rest. Oh and the sea bream market fish of the day was to die for, accompanied by a beautiful Portuguese wine. 10/10!

We had our company Christmas Party at The High Field. As it was the first coming together of the business for two years we were keen to have a great day for all attending. We could not have been more happy with the venue. From the quality of the venue, to the fantastic food to the first class service that we received from every staff member every aspect of the day that The High Field provided could not have been improved on. Would definitely recommend!

Went for breakfast, the food was delicious, the servers were polite and helpful and it was very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was amazing too!!!

We visited for sunday lunch. Staff were super welcoming, friendly and professional throughout. The Sunday lunch special of pork belly was amazing, so good we returned again this week for drinks and nibbles. The ambiance and decor is beautiful and the outdoor terrace area is lovely. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

It's a nice place, desserts are tasty. Is a expensive place, they offer cushions and blankets on the terrace. Good service

Edgbaston is the home of some of the best places to eat in Birmingham but unless you live there or work in the area not many people will know about it's hidden gems. You're paying a little more but it comes with the ultimate fine dining experiences with lovely outdoor spots as the summer arrives.I managed to get a booking in for a client meeting and I must say I was impressed with the food. The soup and fish of the day was my option and without feeling bloated I was surprised I couldn't even finish my main.Whether you're going for drinks or you want a lunch this is a great place to visit but pre-warning, it's always best to reserve a table. The decor and natural light in the Highfield is one of many reasons why I'll keep coming back.

Great place to eat as a family with mixed abilities. When celebrating a event such as results day a free glass of fizz. But food in general was great as some images show. Service by the staff from start to finish was great very welcoming, chatty to a point, helpful and hidden disability friendly. Had great menu and specials. Such a lovely garden which was been done by a private gardener but was a lovely place to walk through and enjoy. With the covid they was safe at all costs, hand sanitizer at the door, screens between tables, and food and drinks was really nice and worth the prices. Can't wait to be back on the 15th September to celebrate my 19th birthday
