Mixed grill was not fresh, chicken legs gave it away this food had been reheated up. Curries were better but not as Punjabi as menu claims. The naans were beautiful thin, crispy and buttery. Glad Ifinally tried the place but was disappointed.Let's see how many untruths they say about me to discredit my review.

Absolutely lovely food, a decent pint and a good, welcoming environment. If you are into British Southern Asian Grill pubs in particular, Birmingham has quite a few such establishments, but this one is definitely top tier.

Good friendly staff and covid-19 restrictions followed by some staff and customers. Good slections of beers and spirits and food is excellent compared with others who offer a similar slection in their menu. Services is good. Atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable

The competition for best Desi pub in Birmingham is getting serious. A group of 5 of us turned up early on a Saturday evening without a booking but they managed to squeeze us in. Food was excellent, service was friendly and quick. Will definitely be returning

Brilliant, the mixed grill is enough for two and at £18 is a great deal, some nice beers on tap, not a large place so book early, miss it at your peril.

Food was delicious. Good service, up there with the best desi pubs around. Shared a mixed grill with some curry's and sides. All mouthwatering. Very good selection of craft beers on draft available too. Friendly service. Will be back soon.

Great food, great beer, great service. The perfect local. It's rare to find a place this consistent. I've been staying nearby for work and am slowly working my way through the menu. The place is unassuming from the outside and is cozy on the inside with a subtle Indian vibe. Birmingham is full of amazing food when you want to adventure out; this is the perfect spot to relax, eat well, and feel at home.

Lovely staff and good selection of drinks. Everything we ordered was great aside from the veggie mix grill, which was underwhelming. That's a shame considering other reviews raved about the meat mixed grill. Will come again, but not order that dish.

Quite a simple pub, serving excellent Indian food, with good service. The menu is board and each item I had was good in it's own right. They were happy to customise the grill to my taste, and enquired if it was fine. Good job. Its a busy place booking a table would be smart.

Formerly The Gough Arms this is now what is known as a desi pub. Combining the best parts of a British pub and Indian cuisine with the Tandoori mixed grill as it's signature dish. Small but well lit single room with comfy seating. The menu is not as extensive as a normal curry house but still has plenty of variety. Focusing on chicken and lamb dishes ranging from Madras to Korma. There's also a good selection of vegetarian starters and mains. Staff are friendly and approachable. You order at the bar and it's brought to your table. Quick service yet still keeping a high quality in the food. The chicken was excellent,cooked to perfection. Plenty of chicken in the curry, always a good sign. The aroma of the pilau rice was a smell that will have you craving more. Ordered, served and eaten in about an hour. Yet you never feel rushed and time flies by. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
