The Old Royal in Birmingham

Nice to get away from all the modern bars in town. Decent pint of John Smiths, not amazing but a good boozer. Would return again.

Not a bad pub at all. Great staff but woefully short on Smokey Bacon crisps. Somebody have a word with management.

The local pub in the city centre. No nonsense, friendly staff, hot and tasty pub food, they show the sport, and all for very good value prices. What’s not to like.

With so much change happening in Birmingham it's reassuring that the Old Royal continues to offer the authentic pub experience, no gimics or flashy marketing just good old fashioned beer. You better behave yourself when you visit as there's a large wooden spoon to smack miscreants with .

Pint of Guinness as it should be!!! The young lad pulled a perfect 10/10 . A lesson to those in Lonfon pubs. A minor downside: the Gent's is ramped and can do with new toilet.

Good old fashioned pub. Went there for breakfast which was proper yummy! Great staff, great atmosphere.

Not really my sort of pub, but your mileage may vary. Clientele seemed like they were mostly regulars. Decor traditional city pub, with dark wood panelling, frosted and stained glass, heavily patterned carpets, fabrics and tiling. Only stopped for one drink, partly because there was only one ale available (Timothy Taylor's Landlord) - no problem with this beer and it was well kept, but variety is the spice of life.
