The Plaice Fish Bar in Birmingham

Fab fish and chips. Friendly service and good parking outside. Been twice now and not disappointed. Now our go to "plaice" for fish and chips!!!!!!

Prices have increased and portions are smaller. Quality not great too.fish way too oily. Disappointing. Finest catch is much better on Stratford road. Worth the drive

Great fish and chip place. The best for miles around. Very well priced with a wide selection including all the extras you'd want like kebabs, sausages, burgers, etc. Well worth a visit.

You havent lived until you sample a taste of this English tradition. Wrapped up in newpaper. the fish is so fresh and the chips so tasty you will wonder what youve been eating up to now. This Chip Shop is one of the nicest you will see. Its in the heart of Solihull and been there for years. It has survived the times and now a National Monument ..lets say a chip off the old block ;)

Staff are very friendly and welcoming, food has always been spot on, had the halloumi burger this time around to try something different and was pleasantly surprised, tasted amazing and the salad was super fresh too. Will only use this chippy from now on. Thanks guys 👍🏼

Very good fish and chips. The place (or The Plaice) appears very clean, and everything is reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and the service is good. I had cod and my wife had haddock, and everything was piping hot and not greasy, and not a soggy chip in sight.I think I've found my new favourite chippy!

Hands down best chip shop in the area. Have used them for years. Food is always spot on! Amazing fish especially. The staff are lovely and friendly and always take the time to have a chat with you. Whenever ive been anywhere else I've always been disappointed as I compare it to the plaice. Never had a bad meal here!

Very disappointing with the chips they tasted awful I asked twice if they were overcooked. Was assured by manager and lady that served me they were not. They tasted as if they were reheated. The fish wasn't much better. For one cod one medium size chips and one small cod .I was charged almost £12 . Far too much for having to bin most of the chips .Friday after 5 . Noreen
