Lovely old pub comfy seats huge range of real ales and gins. The staff are friendly and helpful. Clean tables and toilets. The staff are friendly and welcoming there is sport on for those who want to watch it too. I love the fact they've kept original features and old pictures great place to sit for a few drinks

An absolute gem of a place! Staying at the Ibis next door, ventured out for food and this did not disappoint! The batter on the fish was to die for, the homemade tartare sauce divine. The steak and ale pie was quality and filling. Good ale too

It's a nice place for a beer. It's quiet and have a Victorian decor.

Lovely friendly welcoming pub. A group of 10 had a splendid few hours enjoying the fayre yesterday. Efficient service, delicious food and good selection of beers and wines. What's not to like well done Team 👍

Enjoyable evening. Food was excellent and the service both courteous and professional. My wife, who is disabled, felt extremely comfortable and for once relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble... Not that we were. Lovely atmosphere to enjoy a nice evening together.

Tasty food, good portion & polite staff. The atmosphere is nice and I had a lovely time. The vegan burger was especially tasty.

Super welcoming barmaid made us visitors feel at ease straight away and invited us to sit in the shady beer garden where we took our lovely refreshing drinks to peruse the food menu, ordering food was quick and simple and when the food arrived it was hot and very tasty. Our visit was only spoilt by a stag party meeting up in the beer garden and becoming super rowdy. We soon ate up and left after that otherwise we would have ordered desserts and more drinks as our hotel was right next door.

Great pub that does lovely food, staying next door at the ibis styles hotel, so popped in for a beer. The menu looked good, so ordered the Gammon, chips and eggs, it was fantastic value and tasted delicious. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere even during the week. Totally recommended.
