The Silver Hake in Birmingham

Best Fish and Chips in Birmingham. Just check opening hours before you go.

Ordered their Fish and Chips. Decent Size Serving, Freshly Cooked Fish on each order.

Gave to me very bad chips with my order. Heard the gentlemen tell his brother "its only for his kids". As a regular customer thought this was very disingenuous. Saturday 27th November 2021.

One of the best fish and chips in Birmingham Good size of a cod, nice chips with lovely sauces

Friendly service . Very Busy. New goto place for Fish & chips. Consistently good

Suprised i've never tried Silver Hake before. Definetly one of the best fish and chips around, to be honest cant think of anything local that is better.Regualr fish and chips cost £4.90 which is reasonable. Portion size was good. FIsh fried to order so was nice and fresh and hot. Chips are amazing, dont know what they fry them in but they taste delicious and completly different from other chip shops. This is without a doubt going to be our go to fish and chips place. Look forward to trying other items off their menu.

been meaning to come as been recommended by so many friends, excellent service & very nice gentlemen serving behind counter, quick service fresh cod and chip which brought back memories of way back when

This place does not deliver, bummer. The fish and the chips are amazing. I have not tried the burgers or kebabs yet. The best chip shop I have been to in the last 10 years or so. Absolutely first class.

The staff (i think owner) one of the most rude, man i have come across. In this shop, its not first come first serve. It's friends and family first then who he decides to serve. Just be prepared for the death stare if you ask for anything extra. Oh and be prepared for slide remarks, at the time of paying. He needs to learn basic manners.I never leave a bad review unless the shop deserves it, and in this case HE DEFINITELY DESERVES IT!!!!!

Fantastic service, food is made fresh, will be back again for sure
