Very good place to eat. Beautiful food, nice staff, take your own alcohol helps keep the bill down. Parking is a bit of an issue, thanks to the local council, a taxi is recommended. You need to book, enjoy!

Delicious curry, hot and full of flavour, served without fuss or delay. A friendly team ready to chat or to suggest dishes. I have always felt completely satisfied on my visits here.

Not at all happy with the food very watery they spend to much time on the stupid colours of the yogurt portions were small and tastes like it had been reheated In microwave no at all Impressed also did not like shop bought frozen somosa was rubbery and tiny in size and first and last time I eat from there.

Beautiful vegetable curry , and mango drink was refreshing. Owner was nice and friendly. Small restaurant and cosy.

Been going now for about 3 or 4 years and always a very good meal and great atmosphere and ambience. Our favourite eating place. Would reccomend.

I ordered a delivery order on Deliveroo. It did not arrive but I was told it had been delivered. I rang them and they said it was not their problem. So, I've paid to receive nothing. I was told to ring Deliveroo. I did but they refused the call. Today I got a delivery. The tandoori fish described as slightly cooked was charred and bone dry. Their standards are variable for delivery orders. I rang them up and they answered Spice Merchant. I told them about the fish. They said wrong number and hung up

Excellent menu and food, good atmosphere and friendly staff

Love the Spice Merchant. Have been coming here since I was very young, and it's never a disappointment. The food is lovely, really flavourful and well-spiced (and priced!).The service is really splendid too, with the staff wonderfully floating by and making sure everything is all good. The wait for food, too, is never too long. One of Birmingham's best.
