Standard chain pub grub with friendly staff in a tired environment.We visited twice this week to sample their new menu and can say that we experienced food highs and lows. For example, the move from a sizzling bed of onions to that of mixed seasonal veg is a welcomed improvement, but portion sizes for the 'ultimate plate' curry and sundries were disappointingly meagre. The fajitas were very tasty with wraps bigger than the plate, but lacked a spare plate to load them and sufficient chicken to fill them.I can only hope that the kitchen was so overburdened in this launch week that they had to cut back on portions and rush out the food to meet demand.

Staff could try and be a little more friendly with paying customers, it is very cramped there not much space to move around, Food was absolutely lovely, a bit pricey but when it's quality that's okay. Not very child friendly as it is on the main road and not really anywhere for them to play.But if you are looking for a nice meal this is a nice place just as long as you don't have kids and don't get up from your seat and can egnore the rude staff then this is the place for you.

Lovely place to eat, went as a party of 6 and could not fault the food here. Everything was cooked to perfection and even though we were picky eaters nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend and will 100% be returning!

Brilliant lunch time meal. One scampi, one chicken and one mac cheese. Served quickly, efficiently, well cooked and piping hot. Would recommend.

It a lovely place. Very welcoming and nice staff and the beer is good and reasonably priced. Love there food love the house sharer and they do takeaways.

Visited the Stag and Three Horse shoes the weekend for a family gathering, couldn't have been happier. Everyone's food came out together and on time!! Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning.

Had the steak, which came out on a sizzling platter. The meat was nice and cooked to the requested temperature, but the heat radiating from the platter meant that I was not able to eat it for some time, by which the side of my steak on the plate had cooked further and the onions underneath were burnt. This was a shame, but the food was reasonably priced and the service was quick.

Not a nice experience. Went with my father and other family members for what would have been his 56th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was stagnant and the food was awful. The extra star I gave was because they refunded a couple of the meals that were nasty. However, free food doesn't make the night. Its not a place I'll visit again, and it's not the first Sizzler pub I've been served poor quality food. The choice of venue was not my idea, and the outcome was somewhat expected by me.

Please bear in mind this is one event and I wish not to reflect on the pub in general as I have been in here for years.Santa breakfast 2021.Despite booking in well in advance they had no idea of who we were when we got there. And just waved us to an unreserved table despite our reservation. The food was reasonable for the price however the event was just organised chaos. No one had any idea of what was going on including the staff, who were trying their best to be helpful. Santa himself and his elf were very good. Nicely set up. On the whole it was OK and fairly priced maybe staggered booking would have worked better. Storm in a tea cup spring to mind. I wouldn't attend again however please don't let that discourage you. Maybe next year's will be better.One other thing to note. Not a single person was wearing a face mask. Or nor did I see and hand sanitiser stations. Not that these are a legal requirement at the min. But hey common sense.

Very decent meal and good value for money. The Stag and Three Horseshoes is a traditional pub, but a good one. I very much enjoyed my haddock and chips with optional mushy peas. The haddock was fresh and hand battered - cooked perfectly. My mother in law enjoyed her scampi and my wife said her rump stean was cooked as she requested - medium. The chips could possibly have been cooked a little longer, but I am splitting hairs. For less than £35 three of us ate a very enjoyable main course and soft drink. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. Our neal reached us very quickly. We were all very impressed. Well done andvthank you.
