I've been going to the Village for years, but more recently I have been going more often. The team that work very hard there, are wonderful and lovely to chat to. The food is always really good, I've had pizza's and Sunday lunch that was delicious, and I will continue to enjoy the Village pub! I recommend you try it too.

Came here for my birthday and was a bad meal unfortunately. Sat for 15 minutes before anyone even come and said hello or asked us for drinks. Staff just look fed up of working there. The steak was dry and the sauce just water no flavour. Seafood linguine was just mushy and no flavour. When we told the manager her response was so what do you wanna do? She just didn't seem bothered. Left hungry on my birthday.

This was my second time going to The Village. The live music was wonderful, ambience was relaxing, and the nachos were delicious. The waitress this time was very attentive despite the place being a bit busy which was better than my first experience where we waited 20 minutes for water then had to go get it ourselves. I'll definitely be back again for drinks and the truffle mac n' cheese. :)

It's a good place, but somehow doesn't quite hang together - feels like the whole is a little less than the sum of its parts. Today was great food if a little slow, tables spotless but floor underneath filthy, great baby changing facility that was spotless w thing on the door showing it as checked hourly but nappy bin overflowing w flies round it... Management seems to change regularly, feels like could do w some stability.

Visit frequently, atmosphere is good, visiting singers/musicians are great. Variety of drinks good but could improve by offering more low/no sugar options and whole milk latte for those with dietary requirements. The fish and chips are a must, the remainder of the menu is good, although the food standard has lowered. I've been served an uncooked burger, overcooked sea bass and cod in batter and given ice cream instead custard. Despite this, I would still recommend and revisit.

Never judge a pub by its exterior. The Village is a case in point. It may look unimposing, open the door and prepared to be dazzled. I love the modern well-lit, spacious, high-ceiling interior. The bar counter is central to this space, a seamless separator between the bar and restaurant. The restaurant is cozy. I love the comfy, cushioned booths that are spread around the interior.Service is professional and caring. There timing of food delivery and questions was perfect. The food selection maybe British, but has enough variation and breadth in ingredients to be interesting. I opted for a vegan selection: sweet potato croquette, jackfruit pizza and sweet potato shepherds pie. The croquettes were presented beautifully. The pizza was a textural showcase. The pie was hearty and flavoursome. The Village is so cool and comfortable. It’s definitely recommend for any social occasion.

We came for lunch, the atmosphere was nice and quiet not many people in the restaurant. We had a lovely table. The ordered from the lunch menu which had a nice variety to choose from. Table service only. We were served quite promptly for food and drinks. The food was not too bad, it took longer than expected just under 30mins for two lunches and a side considering there was barely anyone else in the resturant. The steak sandwich was well cooked, it would have been nice to be given a choice. This was our second visit and on both times the food service was slow. Happy with the quality of the drinks and atmosphere.

Amazing food with lots of choice on the menu, great decoration and really clean modern vibe! Staff a little unorganised but very friendly and helpful. A wonderfully relaxed evening with family. Lots of spacious seating with outdoor areas.

Poor customer service, staff lack of aware of which customer is waiting or not , order 3 course meal pudding arrived like never, food presentation 8/10 , taste for some was 9/10 and for main meal 5/10 fish and chip were cook in old oil hence why the disk look burn chips and fish , positive side good atmosphere, nice and clean. Value for money 5/10
