Reason why it's only two stars. Pub is great but when you arrive make sure you register you car registration. On the evening I went in this machine was down. Received a £85. It's a dark car park with very little lighting. I asked someone who worked there who said it would be Ok. Yeah £85 OK to the car park company. Won't be going again.

Lunchtime on a sunny day. Family friendly in the garden. Strangers seem to chat to each other randomly. Rather nice. The people eating were definitely enjoying their food ! Cracking experience all round !!

Busy Mothering Sunday so staff were very busy. We ordered a collect meal as the restaurant was full. Slight delay from collection time that was agreed but this wasn't a problem as the staff explained and worked promptly around the commitments of the restaurant. Thank you for lovely meal.

I must admit that I do enjoy coming here. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are all friendly. The reason for the 3 stars is because my friend had booked a table for my birthday and when we arrived we were informed that there was no chicken, fish and other stuff in the menu. They had been so busy that they had ran out of certain foods.Quite a few of my friends were really disappointed and wanted to leave, but I advised them to stay and we had a good night considering.

Couldn't fault it. Friendly welcome. Lush food, (the bone pile ribs). Nice pint. Only passing through but very pleased we stopped here.

Used this place regularly before lockdown but yesterday was the first time back, oh how it's changed The server was very polite , friendly and professional and that's where the good stuff ended. The food was awful, breaded mushrooms soggy and swimming in oil, the scampi was as chewy as toffee and the sweet potato fries were congealed in the serving tin , I had to scrape them out! Never again. Very poor standard.

Usually really enjoy this place. But on Saturday the atmosphere was miserable, the staff all looked miserable, kitchen staff went out multiple times into the garden all together for cigarettes in the hour and a half I was there, sat waiting forever for orders to be taken and were left for so long after eating to pay the bill in the end we walked off and paid on the way out, to which staff members seemed "shocked" (whilst they were all huddled together in a group chatting away). Really disappointed.

For a family of four, with both children being four or under, this eatery was superb. The service was quick, relaxed and friendly, the food was of a good standard and the surrounds were spacious and decorated in good taste. A bill of £50 (with tip) for dinner was just right.Parking was straightforward and free and the conveniences were hygienic. Family friendly - big thumbs up from us.
