Soo.. the place is nice and its really popular locally. They even have a kids menu. Food service was really fast. There were a few things I didn't like ...1. Tables were small2. Really noisy3. Couldn't change the seat as it was not of my liking ( which I can understand as it was busy but other people were changing their seats too soo..)4. Piri piri chips were not really good.Overall food experience was OK.....Families will enjoy this place more then I did 😂

The food was really nice however we ordered the brownie sizzler for dessert. It was disgusting I literally only had a bite and couldn’t eat any more of it. I called one of the workers and I told her that this was not edible it had a rotten egg taste she was very nice, she then said let me speak to my manager. He on the other had had 0 customer service skills. I was being so nice and trying to say to him that it has a really weird taste, he then went and said it’s your taste buds your maybe not use to it. I told him I have previously ordered this twice and I really liked it hence why I ordered it today. He was not having any of it and was like the only thing I can do is replace it and I said but it’s going to taste the same as it’s from the same batch he then said he sold 4 of these today and has not had a complain. He had seen I only had a small bite from it and was just so rude. I usually really enjoy eating here but not again the customer service genuinely is disappointing and something they need work on. £7.95 for that brownie just don’t order it save yourself they money it has a disgusting taste. If you try and tell them they ain’t going to do anything. So I paid £7.95 for one bite :/

If you are in Birmingham, take a trip to Toro's on Ladypool Road. Lovely steaks, large eating area for over 100 people. Nice menu, good variety and excellent quality.Salim Patel

Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. I also enjoyed the food.Cons: It's obvious from other reviews that the lack of card payments is a recurring issue. I have to ask if there is a legitimate reason for a card machine not being available in 2022? It's pretty disgraceful to have to go outside, to a cashpoint, just to take some money out and go back to a restaurant to pay. It is a direct impediment to doing business and certainly not something you'd expect from a restaurant where the bill averages £20+ a head. Also, while I did receive a glass with ice when requested, it's pretty funny/stupid that I paid £2+ for what was basically a can of lukewarm coke. You'll have seen enough pictures of steaks from other reviews, so here's a picture of the cokes we received instead.

I'll keep it short and simple. Food is as bad as most of the other *recent* reviewers state and the quality has dropped severely. I ordered a t-bone steak and to my surprise... There was no t-bone steak on my plate. What I got looked like and tasted like a much cheaper cut that was also rare and not medium rare like I asked for. Before you go to this place, read the very recent negative reviews as they are not lying and I wish I saw them before coming here.Staff and service is nice and fast. Dining area slightly cramped and loud. But what really surprised me was that they serve drinks straight in the bottles/cans and not even ask for it to be poured into a glass. Love paying £2.45 for a coke for me to just get handed a can with a straw. (in case you didn't get the sarcasm I don't)Overall? Sure the food was edible and the mushroom sauce with the steak was nice but for that price I won't be coming here again anytime soon.

Have been twice and loved the food and the value for money. First time visiting was better however as the service was amazing. Second time we went they had hardly any staff in and you could see they were struggling so the service was not that great but all in all still worth a visit. Would recommend the food highly.

The steaks are very nice as I have frequented the establishment many times. The place can be overly busy which leads you to having to wait outside in the cold. However. they have installed an outside heater this time when I went which I suppose is better than what most establishments would do.The permanent fixture of beggars sitting right outside the dining place makes you feel bad for going in and eating there. The temperature of the place can drop when inside as gushes of cold air enter the place every time a customer comes through the door. The place also feels quite cramped to maximise profit margins. You can feel sometimes that you are being processed quite quickly as well. The restrooms are in urgent need of attention as they are dilapidated and worn out, they could benefit from a cleaning schedule also.Despite all this the food is good and service quick by the army of young people who staff the place. Lots of steaks to choose from sirloin to rib eye. The food come out sizzling on a plate and is very hot, so don’t dive in too quickly. No card machine to pay either so have your cash ready. Oh, by the way parking around this area is a nightmare so finding a place can be difficult, so you may have to park quite far away.

Who knows maybe I'm the only one...but here goes! This place is always a traffic jam but I don't really see why...stay with me for a bit, I think their steak is way smaller than advertised (it feels that way at least) their sides are more basic than a Jam sandwich. Plus it never seems to fill you up, I'm talking about some women here too, so you cannot say it's just my palette size. Their portion sizes just don't seem to compliment their prices as I've had better elsewhere for the same price or less and it's been more than the portions here. That being said, I will pay for a good steak even if it doesn't fill me up, because it's about the taste, cooking method and quality of steak...which I personally don't see here.I think it's more to do with how it's served, but I'm all about the flavour when it's meant to be about the flavour. The pasta just seemed very basic and some parts were really tough (maybe it was a bad day, but I've been more than once) would I come back...not any time soon.

Ten members of our family visited Toro's yesterday evening - wife, sons, nephews and nieces. They're all very greedy so we expect very high standards! 😂I phoned ahead to book a table so waiting was virtually non existent.Young girl who greeted us was very polite and had already gotten our table ready. A rarity nowadays!Once we got it, seating was perfect. They provided activities for the children which really helped keep them occupied between the ordering and arrival of food.Chicken was excellent, lamb was extremely succulent and the portions were generous. Waitresses were always making sure we've got everything we need.No alcohol allowed on the premises which is always fantastic 👌Excellent food, brilliant and kind staff - will definitely return insha Allah 😍

The best steakhouse in Birmingham! I once dined in over 8 occasions in over a couple of months. It's fresh hot off the plate, sizzling and full of flavour. The level of spice is right on the money. Only downside, whilst the atmosphere is great including customer service - their restaurants are very compact with tables just enough to fit people in and too close to others. Very little privacy.
