Twist in Birmingham

I really liked this place, went there a lot before covid and always had really friendly service. But when I went back after they reopened after covid the atmosphere had changed drastically. They were so welcoming before but now when I went to order some bubble tea the service made it feel like I was bothering them.It might just have been my experiences so I guess try it out at your own risk.

I love visting Twist, it's the only bubble tea shop in Bham where I like the tapioca pearls. Plenty of choice and flavours, and the options for food and snacks are completely unique to Twist and everything tastes really really good. I'd recommend following their instagram, they are always working on new things and you can see what limited edition items they might have.

Most polite staff I have met! They helped me with an order and was very quick! I always recommend this place to friends when I visit! Honestly one of my favourite places to go to!Also the fruit bubble teas are amazing! 100% recommend!

Bubble tea is always good and the owner is so friendly. Great little seating area outside too, and there's usually a table free.

I got a warm taro milk tea with normal tapioca pearls. Honestly, it was nothing special at all... I wouldn't really recommend this option.However, my friend got a passion fruit flavoured tea with passion fruit flavoured balls and that was really good. The balls have juice inside them and they pop in your mouth to release the flavour.I would recommend going for a fruit tea instead of a milky tea.

Absolutely amazing service every time I go in to order, tables always clean and floor always swept, delicious drinks and food menu and staff always friendly, polite and hard working! 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill place to relax and the taiyaki is delicious! I always order the same drink (strawberry fruit tea with mango bubbles) and it's always delicious! I'll never go anywhere else!

Lovely place with lovely people, used to spend all day at twist when I had nothing to do and as a photographer/ graphic designer, it's a great place to chill and do work. The staff are super friendly and you can easily have a nice conversation with them if the shop is quiet. Would recommend for people who like bubble tea, frozen yogurt or taiyaki!

I'm not sure why the rating is so high here... I ordered the original milky bubble tea (can't go wrong, right??) but it was way too milky and sweet. I'm thirsty after drinking it...! There weren't enough tapioca pearls in it either. People have given it '£' but £3.30 for a small bubble tea isn't super cheap. It's normal.To top it off, the person serving (and is possibly the owner??) was not polite to anyone I saw come in, myself included. No hospitality manners. No smile. No help when I asked what he suggested I get (he just pointed to the menu). He wears glasses and has pale skin but that's most Chinese people...Oh, and it was around 5pm on a Sunday. It wasn't busy and the place wasn't clean. The 5 tables had not been cleaned even though he wasn't actually doing anything when I walked into the shop. Crumbs everywhere. Maybe he was waiting for the shop to close to clean? But still!
